BOUNTY for Taito G-Net CF Conversions.

If programming was my specialty....alas.
it's a pretty unique set of skills.

I know lots of amazing programmers who wouldn't be able to do this.

essentially you have to reverse engineer how this all works

A good analogy would be if programmers were book authors, able to write amazing stories.
But doing a conversion is a bit like an archeologists who needs to decode, and then translate an unknown language, then make some adjustments to the wording before translating it back. - A very different skill set than writing a book.

Any new interest in this?
Is there a definitive list of what has already been done?

ZN has been moving along very quickly...

Basically, the Gnet will be "out of date" very soon i think.
It will still be great for games that use the taito sound chips, but for everything else there will be a more fancy solutions coming out (probably in some years) :)

It seems a week does not go by without more ZN findings / developments!

The memory card port has been figured out, but needs testing.
There has also been a development with the bios boards that should get the install down to less wires yet again....
Running homebrew / PS1 software will probably be figured out within the next 6 months and then a PSIO type thing will follow for loading games.

And probably a capcom multi for the Q sound stuff, so everything is covered.
(maybe PS1 "qsound" games such as ALPHA3, Warriors of fate ETC, could be ported / modified to use real Qsound too!)

@Darksoft , is it not time to merge the G net , Capcom and other ZN topics into it's on section to keep it all in one place? <PS1 based arcade HW>
At the moment it's spread out over many sections... and they are all basically the same PCB.

Perhaps the future combination can have an unpopulated spot for the taito sound ics.
