ISo check the battery holder without the battery with the console powered on? Where would these SMD passives be found? Sure is annoying though, this consolized MVS I bought has been good for the money other than the bios/save situation.

Ok, so I installed the diode battery holder pcb and was thrilled when I turned my console off for a day and it saved the bios settings. However, after 3 days in the console the brand new Panasonic CR2032 reads 2.08 volts and doesn’t hold the settings for more than about half a minute or so.

I 100% agree and have difficulty putting into words why it’s such a good game, and it’s difficult to convey how impressive the graphics and presentation were for the time.

Do you have a link to this thread? Unfortunately both the LiR-2032 and ML-2032 both fail to hold the settings for more than half a day on my MV-1B. Maybe my charge circuit sucks.

Update, after a 24-hour charge on a brand new LiR2032 it was able to hold the bios settings 2 hours after powering off. Today, after 18 hours being powered off, the bios settings reset again. I have another brand new LiR 2032 that I charged in the console for about 9 hours and removed and have...

Thanks for the tip. I left my console on for over 24-hours to hopefully charge a new LiR2032. I just turned my console off, any idea how long the battery can be expected to keep the save data intact before the console needs to be powered on again for recharge?

A friend of mine gave me one of these recently, any recommendations for coin cell to use? Not sure if the ML2032 or LiR2032 is better or if brand makes a difference. Thanks.
