MVS MV1B/1C battery replacement

Wow, that's a game changer for sure :D. Would love to buy a few if that's possible :)
Yeah no problems,
This was actually my interim solution to not having to remove anything from the MVS to replace the old battery. I have been working on a supercap solution as well, however I thought I should regulate the input and output of the cap and once I did this the cap only gave you a few days to a week (it was months prior). At that point I decided that I needed to both look at the MVS diagram to get a better idea of the changing circuit and design a more efficient circuit out of the cap. It works as just a cap with no additions I am just not sure this is a great idea. Anyway for now a diode battery blaster circuit appears to be working.

One all soldered up

So after replacing the faulty capacitors on the board, how long does the battery last? The fact that the clock is reset is not terrible, it's bad that the neobios region and console mode are reset.

Do you have some available for sale? I’d be interested in 2 or 3 myself. What’s required besides this pcb?

Yeah I got 20 pcbs made up so I have a number spare. I also have all the parts:
1 x 1N5817 or 19 schottkey diode
1 x 2032 batter holder 3 pin vertical
3 x single header pins
It will be cheaper (I think) to ship as a kit rather than assembled but I could probably do either. Give me a day or so to work out shipping costs and I'll DM you. Thinking something like $10 each but ill check what everything cost as I may be able to do a bit better than that.

Awesome, man. I’m curious to know if the battery holder can be flipped parallel or if the pins won’t tolerate a bend. I’ve just gotta fit it within a console case as this is for a consolized MV1-B. If I could find a perpendicular CR2032 battery holder on digikey with the same pin configuration I would order it, I just don’t know how to search for it honestly.

I'm very interested too, a kit is perfectly fine, please DM me also when ready :).

I don't think the pins are long enough to be bent and I have not found any flat battery holders with 3 pins either. I actually designed it upright to mimic the original battery but it does stick up a tiny bit further than the original. I was thinking of doing a flat one as well as one for the PGM but haven't gotten around to it yet.
