There are Motorola branded 68K CPUs in 64DIP configuration though.

If you are going to change CPUs I would put in a socket while you are at it rather than soldering the new one in directly.

If you end up hitting a road block with 2(+) players, I think it would still be worth releasing with only 1 player Xbox 360 support. Most shmups are really meant for one player anyways. In any case, it's awesome that you are working on support for this! Also looking forward to seeing the new...
