Thanks for your hard work. I am gonna check this out on the weekend.

    Anyone fix PGM Carts?

Put the glitchy Shen Jian in your mobo and turn it on. Once you get to the part where all the lines appear, reach down, grab one side of the cart and slowly work it out of the slot a little. If that doesn't clear the lines, reseat it and try the other side. I know it sounds crazy, but I have to...

[Help] IGS PGM Gladiator Glitch !

I had a similar problem with my Gladiator when I got it. I didn't get the error messages, but I did get a lot of those flashing, moving vertical lines. I reached down and slowly pulled on the right corner of the cart working it out of the slot just a little and the lines went away. I used to...

    Rastan Vertical Black Lines

It wold have to be something with my setup, because on a CRT they don't show up. A cap replacement didn't do anything unfortunately. I am going to tweak some more settings and see what happens. '

    Rastan Vertical Black Lines

A bit of an update to this. I got another board from a friend of mine and tested it with the same results. So the board is fine but I am not sure what is causing those lines in the background. It could just be brightness or color settings. I am doing some mods to my SuperGun and when those are...

    Rastan Vertical Black Lines

So I got a hold of a Rastan PCB some time ago and it has some weird vertical black lines going through the background. You can see them clearly if you view the pics below at full size. My troubleshooting skills are still limited. Any idea where to start looking? I did some searching and saw...

LF a scan of Burning Force installation manual

I don't know if you still need these or not, but I dug out my original Burning Force manual and took some pics for you. These are pics for the jumper settings and the rom locations for the video board and the cpu board. I uploaded really huge pictures too.

Thank you very much for that information. I will start reading up now.

Need a hand with SuperGun video attenuation circuit

Yeah. Thanks for reading and wanting to help. :) I will keep poking around but I may just end up getting an encoder like a JROK and slapping it in there. I didn't go that route in the first place because RGB is all I need but I may have to in the end.

Need a hand with SuperGun video attenuation circuit

I don't use the LM1881 for the stripping function but for the clamping function. Some PCBs, like my Tiger Road PCB, have a sync signal that oscillates too much for the Framemeister to grab a hold of. Without a sync stripper the screen just constantly judders, shakes, drops, and is completely...

Need a hand with SuperGun video attenuation circuit

Thank you for the guidance. I guess for now I am stuck because while I have a rough idea of what I need to look at, I don't yet have the equipment to do it. I will look around some more. I am sure someone has to know roughly what arcade pcbs are spitting out.

Need a hand with SuperGun video attenuation circuit

Thanks for that info. I'll see if I have any in the parts box.

Need a hand with SuperGun video attenuation circuit

Okay, so a little while ago I built my own SuperGun. It is RGB out with no encoder. The RGB lines go to 500 ohm pots and the sync goes through an LM1181 sync stripper and that's it. I recently found out through a Twitter conversation about some other SuperGun that I am pushing too much juice...

    Hello from Tokyo.

That sounds crazy. We are going to move to a larger apartment in a couple of months but we aren't going to look at buying anything until after the Olympics. If you are ever bopping around Akiba, shout at me on Twitter @richardgalactic I may be around that day too. Be sure to give a shout when...

    Hello from Tokyo.

Way south almost in Kanagawa. Haneda Airport is about five minutes from my apartment. Your own private arcade? That sounds cool. You must have a lot of space.

    Hello from Tokyo.

Hi folks. I used to be a member of a smaller tech / mod forum that went under some time ago. Since then, I have been looking for a new place and that's how I wound up here. I have only been doing mods and repairs for a couple of years, so I still don't know very much. Anyway, I am glad to have...
