X-Men vs Street Fighter U: Game over screen says "X-Men vs Street Fighter: Coming Soon"?

I was too slow to get a picture of it, but decided to play a quick game this morning, and at the game over countdown, at the bottom of the screen it said two things in succession: "Get in attacking range immediately." Then with about 5 seconds left it switched to: "X-Men vs Street Fighter...

Are the service menus on all CPS2 games basically identical? I need a white screen.

The purity and color convergence on my monitor need help, and I have been trying to sort it out using the dot cross hatch screen - not good enough. I really need a blank white screen to fix up the purity and then I can move on to convergence. I don't suppose any of these games have what I need?

    Interfacing with the CPS2 Multi

I have a big blue dynamo and have had the idea of finding someone unloading an older widescreen display, and install that where the marquee would normally be. Then if I could detect which ROM is resident, display the correct marquee image, and maybe even somehow handle button mapping, or at...

    WTB Undamned USB decoders x 2/FGWiget Converter x 2

Wired or DB15 - makes no difference to me. I have a backlog of projects waiting on these parts.

If you think you can repair a non-booting CPS2 A-board, I have one you can have for free. Just pay the shipping.

The one from this thread: [SOLVED] Difficulties with suicided X-Men vs Street Fighter US board converted to multi. I'd rather someone that knows how to fix these things take it than watch it get junked. All I ask is that you actually fix it, and if you don't need it for yourself, share the...

Fitting VGA and standard-def YPbPr/component - was: 15khz to 30khz sync converter circuit

I swore I wouldn't mess with this, but the more I thought about it, the more likely it seemed that if I wired a VGA plug onto my CPS2 that I would wind up trying to hook it to a display that couldn't sync down to 15khz. So I'm bookmarking this for later. I will certainly wind up coming back to...

Anyone have a nice chart of all of the different JAMMA/Kick Harness configurations CPS2 uses?

Finally getting around to hooking up buttons and realizing that for games that are Street Fighter, you really don't want button 1 to be LP. Was thinking of mapping it all out and throwing a switch or two on there to automatically re-map the buttons for me, and realized there are probably more...

Where could we pull together a bounty for a CPS2 music player?

I want to be clear about my meaning. I obviously know that there is a sound test for each game. Totally get that. What I am asking is the ability to put my multi into a "jukebox mode". We already know how to skip the grunts and sound effects, right? So - pull that into a player, and have...

Slightly off-topic, but I thought you might be interested to know how long all of this has been going on.

Back in 1998, a fake CPS2 emulator sprung up named "Kallus 2". I tried to get the guy writing it to come clean and failed. Around 2000, Dayvee (original Final Burn dev) added support for a small number of CPS2 games. For whatever reason, he was...reluctant to add newer games to the emulator...

[SOLVED] Difficulties with suicided X-Men vs Street Fighter US board converted to multi.

I have this suicided XMvSF A/Revision 7 B-board set that did work for me once upon a time. First it suicided (I was stupid), then one day when I was taking it all apart, I managed to snap the pin off of CN4 B32 on the A-Board. UGH. I tried to repair the pin, but eventually gave up and ran a...
