Hey Guys I screwed up . My brother has a Sega Astro City Cabinet. I’ve got it working fast forward to last year, I moved it downstairs stepped on the power cable and pulled the wire out. I ended up fixing it and I went to play it. My brother and I both thought the other one unplugged it what...

Hi everyone, I recently aquired a Sega Astro City that was previosly restored by a third party. With that, I'm checking what's wrong and what needs corrections and improvements. The backplate for the lights was using wrong screws and the machine itself is a little not perfectly fit and wobbly...

Good morning, I moved my arcade machine downstairs, while doing this I accidentally stepped on the cable and damaged a connection making the power not work. I recently repaired the power so that the machine turns on, however I have no video. Sound and everything works just no picture. Any...

Not sure if that's what it's actually called, but I'm talking about this little thing that rests beneath the coin mech and contains the coin slot switch. Here are pics of what I'm talking about (mine's bent like hell). Not looking for the entire metal fixture, just this little bit for the switch.

I ordered two new joysticks for my Astro City. I purchased them from Arcade shock and I asked them before I purchased what I needed they told me SEIMITSU LS-32-SC. Tonight when I went to replace them I noticed they are missing the 4 separate switches and only have one 4 pin connector. Can...

As the title implies, I have obtained the pictured machines. I’m curious if anybody has taken any of these and made them for playing fighters, shmups, beatemups? For instance, would the Nuno Design control panel be swapped out with say an Astro City control panel, or would an APM3 control...

Overview A few months back, I designed a custom shelf to fit above the cashbox in the Astro and New Astro City cabinets. I've been very busy with work, so I only just finished documentation of it - but it's been working fine for me for over half a year. The project is open-source and I've...

Hi all, I've been looking for an Astro City for a while now as a first cab without any luck. This would be my personal holy grail and daily driver. I'm situated in the Netherlands. Even though they seem to be harder to come by, I really wouldn't enjoy having a bad screen or any burn in. I...

Hello! First post so hope I'm in the right place. I recently recapped a Nanao MS9 and NVS-4000 PSU. Everything went great. I was having an issue BEFORE the recap where the screen will shake/expand/bloom on bright screens (metal slug intro/samurai shodown fights). The issue still remains after...

I've always loved these cab maintenance and restoration logs, so I figured it was my turn to contribute a bit! I've already done quite a bit of work on the cabinet and will be sort of 'backfilling' this thread with progress shots until it catches up to the present; here are a couple (potato)...

Overview When working on my New Astro City, I noticed that the interior could get quite dark; doing maintenance tasks or connecting new game boards was often inconvenienced by the poor visibility. I decided to mount a 24" LED light fixture inside the cabinet, to provide some much-needed extra...

I got an Atomiswave about a month ago and it'll work fine with my Supergun on an LCD in both 15khz and 32khz resolutions. However, I'm having picture problems with it when I try to hook it up to my Sega Astro City (Nanao MS8-29FSG monitor) running in 15khz mode. Atomiswave dip switch settings...
