A board bent pins, where to get connector?

I've done this. I think they are 30 mm pins. They could be 28 mm.
I got mine from ali express.
You can trim the solder side of the pin if its too long.
Obviously the top needs the rounding.

You don't by chance want to sell me like 4 or 5 of them do you? I assume you had to buy like 100 when you put your order in?

Let me take a look and see if I haven't misplaced them I think the minimum was 20 pins for gold plated. I think I used 3.

I have not located them yet.
I've been remodeling so quite a few things got boxed and misplaced unfortunately.
I think they ran me $5 I will locate the aliexpress link I used.

OK, so the game works in my other motherboard and all games display the same issue in this one. I guess it is likely the pin, but of course, the pin could be fine and it could be something else wrong too, but at least the problem is narrowed down to this particular A board. I will attempt a pin swap or replacement, one day....

here is the best pliers for straightening pins, Eprom chip pins etc.

I've had it for a long time, it always saves the day.

The advantage of this clamp is that you do not need to straighten it with the movement of your wrist.

you place the pliers above the pin vertically, and tighten gently.

it will come back straight.

What I advise if you are skilled is to use the soldering iron with a fine tip, a little tin with flux to consolidate and fill the pin

yes, smooth-jaw pliers are a life-saver for fixing bent pins... I have a narrow set like above and a "duckbill" /flat nose set that I can use to straighten a whole row of pins at once.

No problemo. It should actually give you 79 practice pins unless you are installing 41

Funny enough, I discovered one of my A boards had a few bent pins... I initially couldn't get the job done with an existing set of pliers and an ifixit tweezer, so I went out and bought some suuuuper thin long nose pliers only to discover they were barely too large to get in between the pins. I ended up just going caveman on it with the ifixit tweezer and I managed to get it bent back into shape. Works great.

Still, I'm glad this thread was here as it helped me prepare a plan B (buy a header strip and take pins off of that).
