I'm about to embark on a similar process with an Aero I recently received, so this was great motivation.
e: What model pot is that for the 5V adjust? I did something similar on my AV-5000, but yours looks way more practical.

That’s a great idea to have the pot accessible from outside the PSU.

Actually wasn't that bad of starter condition. Certainly been worse on these forums.

Just for anyone reading this in the future, unfortunately not. The "standard" Radio Shack style panel mount pots don't clear the heatsink. I had to drill a 7mm hole a couple cm to the right in order to have it fit:It's a standard pot 1Kohm
The pot you're using seems to be a Vishay P11S1V0FLSY00102KA, which is $15.30 a pop
