Anyone done the stereo mod on MV1AX also what is the best replacement battery to get my one seems to be in good condition but it's better to be safe than sorry long term.

I did clean the contacts of the JAMMA connector.

@nam9 Thank you. I'm guessing the Stereo Mod I would follow is MV-1A guide?
 
Think so. Shows the tap points at least. There are more advanced amp designs available now, like the MLK amp.
Main issue is the soldered bios making a Unibios upgrade difficult.

Do you have a link to MLK Amp?
 
Schematics are shared in that thread, as are some links to shared projects on OSHParks. Not sure if anyone is selling assembled amps or not… you may have to ask around.
 
Thanks I'll look around see what I can sort out.
 
I replaced the battery in my MV-1B with a super capacitor and it was basically a cut out, solder in job. Just paying attention to the positive and negative of the battery and capacitor. I had to bend up and solder a 'rail or frame' to ensure the 3 pcb holes were each filled with correct polarity from the two capacitor legs, but all in all really simple to do.
