I don't use coins with my cab, and don't want people trying to put coins into the coin slot, so I scaled this ash tray to my blender bottle and printed it. I fed some screws up from the inside of the vewlix CP, silver-sharpied the screw tips, and used that to know where to drill on the underside of the cupholder. Drilled through, countersunk the inside, and screwed it down from top to bottom. Works well!

Source CAD file was https://grabcad.com/library/ashtray-72

I don't let people have drinks at the cab (preventative maintenance, I'm sure people have first-hand horror stories), so it's really just for me for now, and i'm always using this sealing cup. Wish I'd printed it a little wider to serve as a phone holder too. I'm working on a Stream Deck XL holder for the left side of the CP, more on that soon hopefully.

I printed two of these and they turned out great. Thanks for the share. I'll have to get some pictures and share them.

Did you design a 3d printed solution for the panel as well?
Can you share where you got the files if not?

Oh great! Glad to hear it worked for you.

Here's my solution for the panel, but it's not that sleek. I was much more novice as a modeler back then (didn't know about heat-set inserts, printer was more poorly calibrated so I made boxier designs). https://www.arcade-projects.com/thr...iation-owners-thread.8709/page-67#post-280075

I think the STL / CAD files are saved on my PC somewhere, I can find them later if you're interested.

I've got some other projects you might also be interested in:

What kind of printer do you have? If you're sending it to a library or something, they shouldn't have trouble with the STL.
Imaginator 3D
it won't read the STL files on an SD card. All the other files are saved as PLA.x3g
the makerbot software to convert them isnt available anymore.

Printers can't understand stls. You first need to slice the model. I think Cura can output x3g with a plugin.

I love the idea. I just wonder if using a removable adhesive might be more effective then drilling through the CP

If anyone can and wants to convert the file for me to .x3g or .x3d I'd greatly appreciate it and would be able to print this at work 😊 I can't download any software onto my work pc due to stupid security blocks.

I don't have any experience with them, so I'm not sure about slicer settings, infill, any of that with your printer, but here's the output from https://imagetostl.com/convert/file/stl/to/x3d run on this model. No experience with this site either though
