Looking for some advice as I am new to japanese arcade machines. What is the concensus on step down transformers for these 100V machines? Do they preserve the life of the PSU and crt or are they just unnecessary? I would like to get the most mileage out of my recent recap, I have a new PSU fan on the way and everything. I want to run 100V if it means a longer life on everything but dont want to blow $150 for a decent transformer if I dont have to.
