Capcom RVA-001 - Can this Run Triforce games via Homebrew like the retail Wii RVL-001?

Just snagged an MP Board off of YAJ. Has anyone successfully converted one of these over to TVC? That is my goal.

The developer of the dumping program claims conversions are already possible in the comments to his YouTube video, and even running Triforce using a custom build of Nintendont

"It is actually possible to convert Mario party units to TvC many have done it already.

We actually got Triforce games to boot via Nintendont with a very custom build but that is more novelty than anything."

Though when my friend asked him where the information could be found, he has not responded. (Could be due to valid legal concerns knowing Nintendo) I wonder if this was done in a virtual environment or on actual hardware.

Good to know! My board should be here this week, so I'll do some digging. I'm assuming you have to dump the NAND from the MArio Party, then make a new NAND with the original Wii's GPU information somehow. Hopefully the data comes out soon enough!

does anybody know what the dips do on the TvC board ?

From the TvC manual. 2-6 aren't used.

With the Mario Party games I believe they are used to designate which satellite# each RVA is.

brilliant , thankyou for that , i have a MP on its way, i too am hoping the same , to be able to flash a MP be nice to have a spare TvC just incase

There's an installer .wad file out on the Internet for TvC now.

Id suggest dumping your RVA first in case no one else has.

To install you have to put the installer .wad file in a folder titled "import" on a fat32 SD card. The installer file must also be renamed to "game.wad"

Then you just have to insert it, and power on the RVA holding SEL and SET. The installation will begin automatically and show the screen below.

I mean probably just the sicker would be the only differentiator at that point.

I'm perfectly happy with this. TVC is overpriced and these Metal Game units are practically worthless otherwise.

After conversion the license screen remains unchanged. I've never seen the comparable screen for a genuine TvC, but I assume it has a different code in the [001] field.

Does anyone have a copy of the RVA dumper? The links dead.

Does anyone have the links or resources for converting the medal games to TVC?

I have the RVA Dumper (thanks to the person who posted it above), but do I need anything else to get started?

Is there also a step-by-step guide or a list of instructions I can follow?

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

All you need is an SD Card to put TvC's wad onto and to press and hold both the SEL and SET buttons before powering it on, and it'll install TvC onto the system. I did this myself and it all works great!

Although just in case, I ran the RVADumper beforehand to have a clean nand dump in case I needed it.

This wiki helps too. https://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Tatsunoko_Vs_Capcom_:_Cross_Generation_of_Heroes#SD_Card_Slot

As for the game, I don't think you can share links due to copyright n stuff. But if dm's are okay, I can help you as I still have the link to where I got it from.

EDIT: Also, I don't think ANY SD Card will work, I think it has to be one that is just the old original SD format, no SDHC, XC or anything like that, so any SD Card that is at max 2GB. But I could be wrong on that.
