Chandy Cab Restoration

I should probably give you a bit of technical information here.... sorry I forgot. Working with 0.8mm polypropylene and lexan was required because the steel inset was 1.6mm thick and the lip for it is about the same. Anything else would have stuck out. The problem with working with these materials is that if your bolt holes are even 0.1mm out the material will bow and look terrible. Achieving a perfect flat look requires literally hours of adjustment to the holes but is worth every minute when it's done. Start in the middle, work out and widen the holes in the direction of any bowing, bolt as you go. About 0.1mm of hole misalignment equals about 5mm of bowing.

WAITING...
Sometimes cab restoration becomes a waiting game. While I was hoping to have this totally completed by this weekend when a pair of Exceleena cabs should arrive, I am still missing a few things I need before I can put the back on. I have ordered 2 speakers to replace the cheap tinny sounding crud that was originally fitted. These will likely need a 3d printed mount to fit to the original screw holes. I also need a marquee and I was going to try someone local because the shipping cost from the US seems way to high but I have tried calling once and emailing twice and get crickets. I'll probably just order from Game on Graphix again but I may change up my design a little first.

Was playing around with the monitor setup today and I'll need some convergence strips and/or magnets to get it 100% dialled in. The top is nice and crisp but the bottom could be a little sharper. I want to get the speakers in first as I could see their magnets changing things a little. It has however come a long way.

Not quite, but they would be if they were as big as the blasts boxes. The Chandy has the 1.5x3" speakers (try finding something that size) in a similar location but mounted on a flat plate that screws to mounts on the side of the cab next to the screen. Easier to access when the screen is TATE and the back off but still a little tricky. The boxes on the blast are a total pain
