Chihiro type 1 error 25 problem crash at 17%

Hello everyone I’m a bit new to this but recently my house of the dead 3 machine has been having a bit of a problem last year when I got it everything worked fine but as of recently it’s been getting the same error and another strange thing is it always loads to 17% and crashes sometimes it does go pass 17% and it will still give the same error but at a different percent does anyone seem to have a idea as to why it always crashes at 17%? if you need anymore info let me know and thank you

Problem could be the RAM inside the dimm board. Try replacing it.

Does the GDROM look good or has it scratched over time?

If you could try booting from CF that would help clarifying things.

The disc does have scratches over it but when I can get it to boot I don’t see any problem in the game also if I can ask what does CF mean thanks

Can you do compact flash on type 1? But by the sounds of my problem it’s to do with the ram?

No, you can't do as far as I know on type 1. Yes, I also think it could be related to RAM.
