So, my cart came in today.
looks made just like yours, with those cool soldering skills. I'm not the best but these are realy shitty
first thing to do was to dump the 27c322 4mb prom
I cleaned up the labels on the 44sop proms and removed them, among with glue, wires, resistors and all that stuff.
The guy used 2 diodes to knock down the voltage to 3V using 2x4007 that pull down 1V each (5V - 2x1V = 3V). He coulded use a simply 47K resistor to pull it down at 3,3V (this prom can eat 3.6V at max)
and i have cleaned at best i could the pads with my iron vacuum (on the left, right side still be done in this picture). There were TONS of solder and burnt flux residue
When i pulled out the proms i noticed that solder was that much to literally melt some pins, on the VCC side they were so full of them that legs came off easely.
I already had this problems by repairing corroded pins on pcb's so i know at least how to get them alive again, even if the pins are complitely off.
So i have taked my dremel and started scrubbing till the pin was at least solderable, since the core of the ic is in the middle it won't harm it if done gently
i geneally make good looking works when i get my hands on things but this was more fixing a bad work since the beginning, you'll get what you'll get.
And then.. i was stuck. None of my programmer were capable of reading those 26L6420 sop44 proms.. i was pretty sure they do but in the end, they didn't.
I wasn't able to read them so i tried to at least read some data using various configurations and proms taken in the list i have (the bigger one was a 29f800...).
Fun things is that my programmer are capable of 64Mbit tsop48/56 proms, but not sop44. I was intended to adapt my board and try to read it as one of them but i didn't want to lose that much time wiring all sorts, i keept what i get because anyway it wasn't matter, i just wanted to know and compare some data with online roms to see if they match somewhere, and they infact do, i have compared the first prom with the modified Ikaruga_v3.bin made for netboot/cf, they do not mach exact since there's only few chunks of data, but the rom file is defetly that one.
At this point i must suppose the rom was splitted into 3X 8MB, and the naomi will read the whole thing, store it and than play it, much like the dimms on the net
I'm kind stuck at this point since i have no programmer capable of write/read those 26L6420 proms, and the ones i find compatible are freaking expensive (something like 500$/600$, that's insane).
I think i will have to modify some adaptors if i want to try make my own in the future.
I will share the 27c322 Dump to AP users by pm if they requested me.
I will put again back the proms and solder them so i can use the game again wich i payed for, i have partially found how it works so i do not need them anymore to be read.
