CPS1 B Board with partial Audio Circuitry?

Hello! I got a Pang 3 PCB, but I never seen this kind of CPS1 B Board! I already have another Pang 3, but this one remains me to an unpopulated CPS 1.5 Q Sound board. Do you have some information about this? Could be a prototype board or something like that? Other thing is that all ROMs and PALs have sockets here, whereas on the regular Pang 3 some of them are soldered.

This is normal, all the Pang 3 PCBs I've seen and owned were like yours.
And you're right, it seems they were about to support some kind of audio enhancement but never went for it.

Thanks for the response, the other 2 Pang 3 I have don't have the extra empty PCB layout on the left and they are a little shorter. Maybe they are bootleg then, but the quality of the PCB seems exactly the same as this. Also they have the same Mitchell logo. Mmmm if they are bootleg, seems like a good change to do a Willow and a Mega Twins on them hahaha
