^ Repro cart is the way to go for ultra simms so you can play the hacks. Standard sh2.
Regular simms a converted battery cart is fine because the hacks are just okay.

We’re having an issue. If you check the ultra simms thread you’ll see the issue. We have no idea what’s the cause. We just reflashed 3-6 same issue.

Wild guess from me here, but considering NG and Red Earth work fine (using SIMM slots 1-4) and that the rest of the games tried aren’t working properly, my $ is on either UltraSIMM 5 or 6 being faulty.

Do these repro carts work with the original simms as well as the newer ultra simms? Sorry if this was already answered, I couldn’t find the info.

Yes repro carts work fine with original SIMMs and UltraSIMMs, one key difference being you use a noCD bios cart with UltraSIMMs and a CD bios cart with original SIMMs to write a game.
You may use a CD bios cart with UltraSIMMs but then you have to plugin a CD drive or SCSI ode to your cps3 board.
