unfortunately no, I have only this one...but it works perfectly with all MVS cartridge...i have problems only with this cart :(
 
Something is going on with that battery backed NVRAM... I suspect the battery is just dead and he measured power from some place else.
Hard to say for sure, but if the motherboard really isn't keeping the correct date/time something has happened to its ability to store NVRAM/RTC values.
 
well i bought the console one year and half ago. I didn't use it a lot. But it could be that the battery is dead? Tomorrow i will biu a new battery and i will try again to set the date/hour and i will verify if it is able to keep it.
This evening, when i cleaned the memory for the 1st time, I saw:

CURRENT TIME
SUN 01/31/00 00:09:23

THE TIME TO BE SET UP
SUN 01/31/00 00:09:23

Then i set the right date/time (03/26/18 23:34:23). But as I said, after some minutes, at 23:53, when I cleaned up the memory for the 2nd time, I saw that the time was 23:40. So it lost 13 minutes...

Hi, I have changed the battery. Now the issue of the date/time is solved: the date/time is kept in memory.
I have cleaned again the nvram, I formatted the microSD, but I still have the issue, it's impossibile now to use the console with the flashcard.

What do you suggest? With original MVS the console works perfectly, without any issue... :( The guy who built my console said that it could be possible that the flashcard requires more power than a normal MVS and for this reason I could have this issue...is it possible?

Ouch, no way that PSU is pushing enough (it says 2.5 but I've known these to be very weak) amps on the 5v line to keep everything happy.
I'm kinda surprised you haven't had any issues (random reboots) with legit carts.

I highly recommend the Suzo Happ 130watt PowerPro PSU...

The best thing about these PSU's is the ADJ (adjustment) pot.
Some of the nicer PSU's have independent (5v/12v/-5v/3.3v) adjustments, but I haven't had any issues (aka sometimes boards want more 5v but not more 12v) with this single one.
BTW, do you see the amp count on the 5v line of this PSU? 15 vs 2.5

Bingo. I'm kind of surprised a supergun builder would include something like that. I doubt it could power 25% of my boards.

It would need to be modified, but it's not impossible.

I really love @RGB 's HAS (Home Arcade System) 3.1 paired with the Suzo Happ 130watt PSU above.
Sure it's another piece of hardware you'd have to buy, not free, blah blah... But let me tell ya!

That single SG board design, remappable buttons and sync regeneration options are simply the beez kneez. ;)
 
well...i have to verify how he can mod the console, i don't want to buy another console...i have to verify if I can solve the issue without spending a lot of money :(
 
Doesn't mean that PSU is all bad, but it's definitely not a quality one. I tried to power my Dreamcast with a DreamPSU with a PSU like that, it was able to power it but got a really wavey image. I bet a 5v 5a laptop style adapter would be able to power it just fine, that's what I'm using for my Dreamcast now as well (perhaps a bit overkill but hey, €15 on eBay). The issue is that you might want to tweak 5v between normal carts and your multicart, so you'd need a PSU with an adjustable 5v. It's just shitty that you will need to modify your consolized MVS for it, it looks really nice judging from your pictures.. :)
 
Since you only need 5V >5A there are tons of power supplies with adjustable voltages for <$10. Just have a look on Aliexpress. You'll just need to put lead on it an cut the wire with connector of your old power supply and reuse it. No modding the console. If you're not confident wiring up a power supply yourself you can also try and find a plugin LED power supply with the same connector for plugging into the Console. :thumbup:

Laptop Power Bricks are under appreciated. I found a 9V one and built a daisy chained output to power my Sega Genesis/CD/32X from a single PSU. it provides cleaner power output than the original adapters, doesn't run hot at all and only occupies 1 outlet. You can usually find them pretty cheap too.
 
I use laptop PSUs all the time for various projects, but I did get video noise when I using them with MVS.
 
many thanks guys. Please, can you suggest me some PSU models right for my console? And which are the exact specifications that i Need? So i can buy one of them. For example, I need for sure a PSu with 12Volt, and ...?
