What's new
I can confirm that I have had CPS2 boards that were Capcom factory conversions. I can also co firm that Capcom had stuck a new label over the original

The battery isn't supposed to last 10 years but I have seen the lucky boards here and there that are still on an original battery. I count myself lucky enough if it's not exploded at that point, a charge is a bonus.

Also speaking of SSF2T this is my board and it really threw me off because I can’t really find a good ref to compare to

mvs-scans has pics, looks good to me https://www.mvs-scans.com/index.php/CPS2_-_Super_Street_Fighter_II_Turbo

When I infinikeyed mine, it was still not Suicided and the battery was 27 years old by the date on the side :D

Here's another site. This shows how kits were sold from the distributor. Pretty interesting to look at as not many complete CPS2 kits exist anymore.
http://capcomkits.com/
So I have a decent number of these kit parts for a few of the capcom cps2 games , but it’s super hard to tell what kits are complete cuz beyond the site you linked I have never seen anything that documented them

Would you have any photos of what you have?

I haven’t really taken many , I have been slowly posting stuff on my twitter now and then :

But here are a few . Most of my photos are Darkstalkers related but I have more then just that IP

I think that site is a pretty good reverence as to what came with the kits back in the day. All the kits that are pictured there have their serial numbers matching on the boxes and the cps2 plastic shell, which implies that it was kept altogether as one kit. Not bought later and pieced together. Although we can never be for sure of course.

If you research into cps2, you'll find people posting their complete kits on various forums and stuff.

I found this while researching:

Also this video of a guy who has several CPS2 complete kits, bought from capcom back in the day. Who also donated a lot of the photos from his CPS2 kit collection to that site:

I put a matchinh kit up in the valuations thread, and it seems to be a capcom factory conversion with a sticker over the original super sf2.

I think it's the full kit, but I was a bit surprised that there wasn't much more to it like pops or something. Saw an exact same kit + same contents for sale in Japan, so I guess that's it?
