Does Anyone Own a Gundhara PCB?

Great work!
Probably 3
The point of a multi is that a donor is easily available and even better if it's cheap.

Currently the official list of fully working donors are rare / expensive or both which makes this multi out of reach for most. The most Elite multi ever? lol
Hardly anyone will buy it as they simply don't have a donor and cannot afford one unless they get very lucky. There will also be those that buy a donor just to make money off it. For example I've seen a lot of Zing Zing Zips converted to JJS and flipped on Ebay. Prices go up which isn't any good for the majority.

For example the pizza puzzle game is a $40 board and extremely common. Eight Forces is rare and if I owned one it wouldn't become a donor as that would be madness.
If you get the multi working on the pizza puzzle donor maybe keep it quiet as prices will just go silly?
Just saying

People get excited for this multi and people get impatient but with the long game more people will benefit. You'll get a lot of kudos for that.

Hornyboyz. Calm down and cheap donors will appear.

Remember when P-47 went bonkers when @Hammy did the MMS multi… well now they’re back to normal.
Well, i have mostly re-made the jaleco motherboard... and probably it will be _better_ than the original - 10mhz as standard, no crappy JK chips that fall off .. smaller size etc....

Again, if the games are so expensive, lets say 8 games at 100 a pop, if the board can be done for less than 800 it's a good idea.

The seta chips are slowly coming through, i have been providing some of them to get de-capped. But really, the bootleggers already did it all except the sound chip.
A fully made board will be a lot better than scrapping / hacking up rare things. The NMK multi was the same, sure <redacted> would work as a good donor but the number of wire hacks , sub boards and bullshit required it was easier to remake the damn thing and keep the originals nice!

I have no idea what the pizza puzzle game is.

And that is your takeaway from everything I said?
You can't work out which game is a puzzle game and $40?
There I was thinking you were an intelligent guy or are you just feigning ignorance because you don't like my opinion?

No worries. Create an obscure vanity project for the lucky few in the process using rare / uncommon boards.
The popular option for those selfish enough to push it no doubt.

For anyone looking for a donor just get all up in VAPS and ask the Zombie Raid owners to part out their machines. That'll be popular lol! :)

@Zx48k either you are being super sarcastic or your last post has a tone that we don't like to see here. Please calm down. We are here to build things together and enjoy our arcades. We all have private obligations and can't always answer to everything the way we would like.

If sellers become greedy (they rise the prices like last scumbags ) / desperates to collect and keep stuff , is Twisted's fault ?
Is a fault to try to convert a cheaper game to an expensive game ? excuse me ... i dont understand .
We like to help , not like to discreditate someones work by trying to make somekind weakly "jokes"

And please sir ... let's not excaladate , because we dont we're not getting anywhere.

I'm perfectly calm.
@twistedsymphony asked for opinions and I gave mine. If he didn't like it then why even ask for opinions. After all this is a discussion forum.

I have no idea what this means? You seem a little emotional and maybe should have a lie down Alex.

I'm not feigning ignorance. I genuinely don't know what game you're talking about. I'm quite familiar with this system, and own most of the games on the platform and am also a big puzzle fan. Literally after you post I looked through the game list again and then googled "pizza puzzle arcade" because I did not know what game you were talking about and wanted to figure it out.

The reason the donors are the donors is because those are the boards that have all of the right electronics in the right places to make a multi. it's not like we can pick and choose what works and what doesn't.

But if you give me a link or the actual game name and I can look it up and tell the viability of it as a donor.

It sucks when good threads get shitted on by internet cretins. I looked up on system16 and I also couldn't figure out what the "pizza puzzle game" is.

Best of luck to @twistedsymphony and this project.

You don't know how to use the 3 seashells?!

If you're just looking at system16 it's easy to say "use a different board for the donor" but a cursory glance at MAME will tell you that this a hardware platform that spans 8 years of development and a dozen different custom chips across them. It's grouped together basically because it uses a 68k cpu and you could license whatever footprint was current from Seta. But they continually revised the pcb, customs, memory maps/sizes, clocks, security, controls, etc. It would be like assuming every Toyota Camry is the same across a decade, and that you could easily swap parts between them without issue.

Bootleggers figured out how to make a couple of conversions among various slices of this hardware, and twisted has spent months working out how to be even more flexible than that.

Seriously, no joke. If there's a $40 puzzle game that's easy to source on this platform, send me a link and I'll buy one today to start investigating the viability. but I'm still completely clueless as to what game is being referred to, there are a few puzzle games here but none to my knowledge are pizza themed, nor anywhere near $40. Outside of maybe Quiz Kokology (which is only really useful maybe as a conversion to STG) I don't think I've ever seen a game on this hardware spectrum in that price range in the last two years.
