it looks like it's not soldered because that through-hole isn't plated... nor does it route to any traces
Wwait... you ordered a wooden board? from across the pond?!Thanks! Actually ordered a NNC manual and PCB wooden board from them last month but didn’t think about asking for a marquee... I’ll try that...herehttps://videotronicsuk.com/Contact them. I saw they had some marquees last year. It's good place to find NNC parts. The postage seems good too.Would you have an idea where we could get one? I’ve looked around and came back empty handed. Mikonos was quoting 56 Euros for his repro and I was about to order it... thanks! The repro works I did for NNC are 1P/2P panel and the insert strip. I don't make the marquee as the original marquee looks so great and it's still not that hard to get one.

Sure did! I like it original as much as possible and the board inside my NNC was more mold than wood...Wwait... you ordered a wooden board? from across the pond?!Thanks! Curious about this one.![]()
anyone get around to recapping their egret ii psu? I just opened mine up (more pics https://imgur.com/gallery/9Yqf90E) and found one pin totally unsoldered. It was working fine so I assume this is just an anchor for the big component on the other side, but thought I’d ask in here if anyone else has gotten to this. Is yours also like this?

There are two, one is open, one is closed. Closed is the older one IIRC.How many different Taito PSU models are out there for Egret II cab?
Ok, here are the pics of the tube and some bad pics of the chassis. This came off a US Tekken 5 cab.Yokes are tied to chassis, not tube. If your pair a yoke with the wrong tube, you'll just get a slightly warped picture. Pair a yoke with the wrong chassis, sparks can fly out.Let me be sure I have this right. In addition to fitting the 29E31S from the flat 29" tube, I should also transplant the yoke from the flat 29" tube to the curved tube of the WIndy II? Bear in mind, my 29E31S chassis is fixed currently to a flat tube. Just seems odd that I would use the yoke from a flat tube on a tube with a curved screen?
The yoke on the Windy tube might be compatible, but I wouldn't bet on it. You need get yourself an inductance meter (20 bucks on eBay).
For reference, the specs for the yoke on the curved Shanghai Novel 29E31S are:
Lh 0.300mh
Rh 0.6 ohms
Lv 11.7mh
Rv 5.3 ohms
Also, take pics of your 29E31S chassis.

The pots at the top of the yoke? Don't worry about those. The tube is single focus.I see dual focus beam adjustments on the yoke.

Honestly just depends what's wrong with it. if its external crack on enclosure, yes can be repair. I've repair a few that way before. If they finding dead shorts on winding or ringing them out and finding even a few dead turns, etc then no good solution for that. Ususally if external crack you will have external arc though so will be fairly obvious. ie you turn on Mon and see spark coming off HV unit.I'm curious if the flybacks can't be repaired if they have cracks in them with epoxy putty.
