What's new
Here's some dimensions to get you started regarding accommodating the S16 multi selector.

PCB_MEASUREMENTS_MAIN_2020-06-21_13-24-23.png

I'm thinking it may be best to wait until you have both the S16 multi and game selector in hand before entering fabrication. I'd wager 90% of people whom will be purchasing an aluminium enclosure for the S16 will want it to be compatible with the multi and game selector.

Ok then, Im going to try with this first prototype.

we'll see how it might look when everything is done.

RED circles - I decided to see if i could add a usb-c extend so that the remote can be wired from outside the case :)
that way you can remove the remote for proper storage :)

YELLOW circle - the cover artwork plate will have a square cut that can be removed if necessary, (see on the right of picture)
This way, if someone keep a standard Sega16 and later wants to upgrade the case to receive Frank's pcb...you can remove the small plate
but if that small square plate is removed..., it never can be put back. anyway... if a sega16 is switched into a multi... i doubt it would be ever send back to its original state.

or for a small fee... i could include 2 plates...one with a pre-cut hole and one closed. but price would be slighter up. since ill have to put 2 stickers and have 2 plates....
i try to stay the lowest $$$ possible. So one of the 2 choices could be put in
-1 plate : closed or with removable option + art of your choice
or
-2 plates : 1x closed + 1x with removable option, each with arts you choose)

edit ( i will create a multi label for sticker later)

By any chance do you have a picture of the KI2 case?

aaaand im a few hours from fixing this.
paint will be done next week for test and all.

after that all ill need is @Apocalypse multi and @Frank_fjs remote for further testing :3
I would love to see one of your cases polished bare aluminum.

I’m not sure if it’s doable but something about uncoated raw materials.

well.. it might be possible since i've seen aluminum cases going uncoated.
but i do remember that one particular time when very small aluminum filing fell on our clients pcbs and it made a huge mess.

so yes it can be done...but i m not sure i would advise it. With paint you can be sure everything is stick together and it prevent accidents.

also, everything fits in :)
BUT AS ALWAYS ... i seem to get a bad habit to have volume pot measurements off.. o_o
and also the air vent for the heat on near opening would need to be a bit longer .

besides those two things i think everything fits in correctly :)
(i printed a small image for fun on top)

I'm interested in one case for System16, once they're available

Does it have a price yet?

It might be 125$ +extra? + shipping.
the paint color/ extra plates might be the only things adding extras to this price.

If i make a mistake about that price ill tell ya right away.

Frank's remote will be tested for test when i get it.
Someone will probably be picked for full testing since im not going to get a multi soon enough.

i'll check with you guys when i'm ready . :)
thanks for support !

Saying it looks pretty sweet is a big understatement... It looks phenomenal!

SEGA logo looks wild. Is that cutout to the left of the logo intended for the selector?
