Yeah in my case it was. Man I had to remove all sockets from the Q sound board, because they were a total mess and acid eating throu traces underneath emman I've been looking for a CPS1.5 are the JAMMA edge adapters hard to find? and do you know if that $500 is shipped?
seems risky paying that much for an "untested" board.
EDIT: good to know the rattling is likely battery, in that case HARD PASS.
$500 a good price for a potential acid damaged pcb set?? He even states that its unopened so I bet you the battery has gone dancin around in there sprayin it allGood price, but already sold!
Do'oh! I'm always late on these!
Well if it turned out to be a screw and not a leaked battery then its ofc a very simple fixYes, I bought a WoF2 game in the exact same condition (even with the bouncing around piece inside) and sent it to @undamned for him to play with and he fixed it in one day. If I had been able to buy this, it would have also went his way, not only for me to score a "cheap" Punisher, but also to help him further develop his resurrection chips for the CPS system.
Oh well, I hope whoever did snag it is able to get it working.
Of course it's a total gamble, but with Punishers now going for 900-1k, it would have been worth the risk to me.
Tell me about it... the two Cave games on PCB that I REALLY want to complete the collection have recently sold for $2600 USD and $6100 USD.Prices are just bat shit crazy nowadays...
It's always about cycles. When real estate isn't a good investment then art/collectibles become the new trend. Unfortunately on the long run prices never go back to where they used to be before...I think it's a matter of time and all these prices will start coming down. It's like classic cars, a restored fast back Mustang was $30k 20 years ago, now you can pick them up for pennies... oh wait, crap.
I hope to have an other 30/40 years before me. And during that time a lot of people will choose to enjoy life, which means throwing big $$ to get what they want and play NOW not in an hypothetic 20 or 30 year time.Who knows though, as we start getting older and dying off, the supply will re-flood the market!
They're not though. they're getting LISTED in that range but they're not selling in that range. @jassin000 had one fully working in great shape for sale for $600 for AGES and no one bit, I believe he ended up having to drop the price to move it.Of course it's a total gamble, but with Punishers now going for 900-1k, it would have been worth the risk to me.
Exactly, as long as people keep paying these insane prices, sellers will ask themI sold Punisher to a friend of my buddy Bill for 350$.
It was original with case, label yadda yadda.
This whole... "All arcade games are now worth 1k$" Is BS, don't buy/don't support.
