FS fb: Punisher "untested"

For Sale
Also we don't know what the selling price was for that FB listing... sure he was ASKING $500, but for all we know someone offered a significantly lower price and he took it.

Yeah that's true. I also guess it depends on who messages who about what's being sold. Allot of people don't realize that allot of prices we post are "asking". If someone PMs me with reasonable prices for something I will consider them at least. Then there's the handful of people I will hook-up in a heartbeat, especially if they have hooked me up in the past or it's to move development of a project forward.

supply and demand, I don't blame the sellers. i see princes going up due to the fact that there is not much modern games retro arcade style original content on digital and less physical form out there.

I have been following E3 2019; The next gen consoles are a year away and I did no see much that would interest me.. I saw, new panzer dragon, blatletoad, street of rage, Zelda DX remake... Zelda looks good, SoR looks ok.. the other two look like iOS phone games..Fighing games have been making a huge comeback but even those are remakes but I am not complaining on the fighting games side of things:)..

Since I have everyone's attention I'm interested in buying a CPS 1.5 (with case) working or not for a reasonable price if anyone has one.

It's been in my Wanted thread for ages but who knows who reads those things :P

Prices are just bat shit crazy nowadays...
Tell me about it... the two Cave games on PCB that I REALLY want to complete the collection have recently sold for $2600 USD and $6100 USD.
I'm out of that race and waiting until they get back to reality. Booting up the 360 on a NUC is really just fine when you're taking the price of multiple cabs for a single game.
CAVE are working on the new EXA Arcadia Hardware. The rumour is (tweaked) Akai Katana and SDOJ are coming out first ;) (in case those are the ones you're missing).

That’s awesome news. That’s one of the ones (SDOJ)...

isn't Akai Katana also available on Taito Type X2? or am I confusing that with another game?

Akai Katana was released on PCB. Akai Katana Shin was released on Xbox 360 with extra modes but also on Neisca Live and “hacked” to download to a X2... But yeah, stick to anything but the PCB because the price is absolutely ridiculous.

Is EXA Arcadia Hardware available to sale to public when released or have a limited release only for the arcade owners? I dont know how Cave releases boards. I am planning a trip to Nihon in 2020 I would love to pick it up when there.

I believe they'll have direct purchases on the website.

With new CAVE releases, we used to buy them from arcade vendors in Hong Kong and Japan on release.

I recall many complaints about posters being shipped folded, then the vendors realised they were dealing with home collectors and started shipping the posters in tubes again :D

Thanks, can you recommend any vendors? Maybe will wait for the direct purchase :) I have no idea who they are / how to contact them. I did get a poster in a large tube for Musihimesama Futari (my friend in Japan sent it in 2015 or 16) which I threw away when moving didn't realise back then that my actions would devalue the PCB by over $200 in future.

@suverman -- it's not available for purchase yet, but you can keep in touch with all the happenings at: https://twitter.com/exaarcadia and also on their website at: https://exa.ac

@ShouTime who is one of the people behind the system is a member of these forums and I'm sure when it's time be here to let peeps know.

Also, that sucks about the poster... but, who woulda known eh?

I'd have thrown up a little if you'd binned a Progear or Deathsmiles Mega Black Label poster ;)

@djsheep, SDOJ does go for silly money now. Shou said there were approximately 300 SDOJ kits manufactured (probably the their remaining CV1000 stock).

At least the EXA won't be as bad as CAVE's PC Hardware, so we can be happy about that at least.

Apparently you can flip the screen so that you don't need to rotate your Viewlix screen for vert games. probably means there are borders on the side. But this would also mean that you can run a mixture of vert and hori on the same motherboard without needing to rotate your monitor.

"A dip switch will determine the orientation for a vertically optimized game. If you do this with a horizontal oriented game, it obviously will not rotate."

Some of you guys always say I over estimate prices on games, but I still disagree. If you list a Punisher for $400 and it sells in 20 min, you probably underpriced it. If you have a Punisher for $350, PM I'll buy 10 of them.

Just because someone sells at a really low price doesn't mean they couldn't sell at a much higher one. Is it intrinsically worth the higher price? Well, most of you on here think not, but that's not what I'm saying.

I'm saying a Punisher can sell for $900 right now. If you sell yours for $300, I guess you were really nice to someone.

It's like those Atomiswave bootlegs that went to a forum member here last week for $40. Yes, they DID sell at $40, but I bet he got a lot of PMs from people offering more. In fact, his one bootleg where real game goes for $150 sold for $125!

People will pay it, you don't have to charge it, but don't say it's not selling for that much because some members here are nice and gave a huge discount.

I sold Punisher to a friend of my buddy Bill for 350$.
It was original with case, label yadda yadda.

This whole... "All arcade games are now worth 1k$" Is BS, don't buy/don't support.
Well again, worth it? I don't know.

If you had posted your game for $1k, you might not have gotten 1k, but I bet you would have gotten a lot more than $350, probably double. Hell if you would have posted on YAJ, I guarantee it would have gone over 1k if you had the the full kit with box/art.

I'm not saying you should have, I'm just saying you can't mislead people and say, well I sold mine for $350, so they are out there, you just need to look.

It's an expensive game now, pure and simple. I'd pay $500-600 no sweat for a nice one right now if you have a second... :)

Of course it's a total gamble, but with Punishers now going for 900-1k, it would have been worth the risk to me.
They're not though. they're getting LISTED in that range but they're not selling in that range. @jassin000 had one fully working in great shape for sale for $600 for AGES and no one bit, I believe he ended up having to drop the price to move it.
Pretty much. I got a super nice one super clean around a year and a half ago for under $500 desuicided too. I think the JP one is worth a little more since you get cooler artwork + can do a blue flame kick in game.

These real expensive ones almost always sit on facebook or its just two dumb people bidding on ebay.

$500 for a untested one that hasnt been opened and is missing the jamma connector is kinda high. You could have a board that has some nice acid damage at worst, loose metal screw wrecking havoc if it gets shipped bouncing around, or plain simple motherboard might be dead.
