DARKSOFT Games Fixed to work with DIMM

Thanks, I have not had the time to test it on the Naomi HW yet.

I own the cartridge of this game and it works perfectly so we must be hitting some kind of race condition on the slower PIO access.
So, does version A work on the cartridge without freezing? Only the network version with the patch to version A freezes?

That is correct the original M4 cart works without any issues with version A.

When version A was converted to a netboot image it did not work anymore. Only speculation from my side but changing DMA to PIO might be the cause.

Can someone tell me if Metal Slug 6 game has always been "glitchy" on netboot mode? I have tried in both Naomi1 and Naomi 2 motherboards, and with one netdimm and a normal dimm with CF card.

I have detected a glitch on molotov fire and on blue bullets of bazookas. Is there a "fixed" version for this?

Could this be related to BIOS? I'm using multi bios 2020

I’ll try reviewing the mame files again to see if I can figure out the conversion to a net boot bin.
good luck with that but notice suchie3 have several data chunks encrypted and compressed using cart protection chip, so this should be handled in a crack netboot conversion

Checked with other friends. Those glitches happen in other Naomi systems apart of mines. Can anyone check Metal Slug 6 rom through netboot? You can see the glitches in attract mode. Not necessary to play

Hello!

Can anyone confirm if Sega bass fishing will load on a Naomi? mine just goes to a black screen and i can't open the menu. all other games are working including marine fishing, i have the full panel and io stack for it working on marine fishing. So I'm keen to catch some bass.

cheers

Sorry if this isn't helpful, but I know Bass Fishing 1 is a Model 3 game and I thought Get Bass 2 was a DC-only. I have a Naomi netbooter -- how are you trying to load this?

Hey no worries, I’m trying on NetBoot. I think it’s a atomiswave game that’s been ported.

Just wanted to see if it starts for someone else using wipi? My sd may be corrupted or something but all other games load.

Cheers

Ohhhh it is ??? No way.

If I have a moment today I'll try booting it. I also use wipi. I might get a IO error tho I'm guessing if I just have the type 1.

Super grateful for all the work the community has done for the NAOMI. And especially with getting House of the Dead 2 to work.

However, with HotD2, I’ve noticed that I am able to save certain settings (eg, red blood, calibrations), but I am unable to save the setting for free play.

Selfishly, I wonder if anyone has looked into this, and if it’s a straightforward fixable problem (understanding that it’s probably not a simple problem).

You should be able to set freeplay in the NAOMI setup menu under COIN SETTINGS. Set it there and see if it survives a powercycle. No need to load a game.

Thank you, I have done this. I also have a fresh battery, and the supercap is intact. Free play setting does not survive a power cycle with the hacked HotD2. Free play settings are saved on other games.

After setting free play, and going back to game mode, it seems that the NAOMI glitches a bit (the usual message appears disappears, and appears again). I have described this poorly, and I can upload a video when I get home.
