Geostorm self test Rom NG H1 NG

My Geostorm came up with this error today (not sure if it always was there...)
I assume NG = not good?

Game plays 100% perfect...?

Yep, NG=no good.

Try removing the H1 ROM from the socket and reinstalling it.

The LS32 points to the problem rom or so the legend goes.

Well, looks like it just needed some more power.
Did crank it up to 5,05 and now all checks say OK!


Did also gently push all the roms in the socket.

Hmh, now we are back to Work Ram low NG / Work Ram high NG
What exact part do i have to replace?

Pushed everything gently again and it works without error.
Think i have to start with cleaning all legs....
This thing is haunted!

Game did run fine for almost two hours now.

It's likely something on the top board.

See that chip near a small orange tantalum capacitor near the nanao sound custom? Reseat that. Also check seating of the socketed quad, and look for cracked solder joins on the legs of IC42.
