My preferred choice with the PS4 audio is transcoding the optical out to RCA. I think this is a cleaner solution.

Just my 2 cents. You do you of course.
 
Well, here's my reasoning:

I used a HDMI to Component/RCA transcoder in a different AV setup with a PS4. I always got a loud nasty sound when the PS4 booted up, and it was followed by the regular audio. The regular audio remained distored for like 3 seconds until it fixed itself.

I suspect that this might be due to the way the transcoder handled the HDCP handshake. (Maybe it saw itself as a sink instead of a repeater? I digress.)

Connecting the optical link to my speaker produced a clean sound and most importantly, I didnt have to mute the audio to risk damaging my speakers. I tried the same setup in my other room with an RCA trancoder and it worked just as well.

If you go this route, just make sure your audio settings are correct in the settings menu.

Best way to do it if your consoles have optical out. I use them same setup when connecting the ps4/x1x to the vewlix, never an issue. I also have zero issues with the ps4 and the new new 1080p monitors, no hub/splitter in between needed.
 
Alright processing. I'll probably group order a bunch of 48cm stools with these too, $90 and can probably just be wrapped onto the cabs for shipping. Thinking of maxing my order out to 40. My distro ordered 40/50, so I can only assume KC got the other 10.

is anyone here running a cps2 setup on a vewlix?

...is the cps2 playable on an lcd screen (any issues with lag)?

No one can source a JAMMA kit anymore, so not many people are likely to answer unfortunately... I'm still trying to find one to borrow for a couple weeks so I can reproduce it.

No noticeable lag on the official jamma kit that I can see. @jassin000 Has the same setup, he might have also tried it with the ossc as well. He might be able to better answer this.

My busy season is closing down, so whatever is needed for group buys for vewlix cabs (YES, including the JVS power adapters @jassin000 shared previously) can be bulk made by me. I just need an interest thread and a total presented to me and I can make that ish.
