I have acquired this free at fighter alpha 2 board. You’ll see why it was free. Corrosion has caused one of the chips legs to fall off. Obviously preparing this would be a pain in the butt. I don’t even know if it’s possible. What do you guys recommend I do in terms of salvaging the parts including the E proms on the board. I’m fairly new to this, but I am almost certain that you can transfer them right? What do y’all think? Thanks

if you are new, there are far more pleasant experiences to try before fixing that ;)

That being said, some people have fixed way worst.

The eproms can be easily replaced so I wouldn't waste my time there.

good "luck" ?

What do you think I should do? If I were to even start to repair this do you think I need a whole new chip or do you think I can solder back the connections? Are they E proms good for another board? How should I go about this?

Read up on how much work/skill it takes to repair this pcb. You’ll need to handle surface-mounted fine pitch custom chips, and probably the traces under them - that’ll be the hardest. The mask roms don’t matter really, you can buy replacements and aren’t worth the time/effort of saving imo
