IGS PGM working with everything BUT the display I want it on (of course)

yeah, we'll see how things progress- I know this is an uphill battle with 2 devices known for being weird about sync! I've got a cheap little oscilloscope on the way from amazon to help diagnose what's going on, I'm really curious to see what that sync signal is doing.
Also, the HDMI->component converter arrived yesterday and surprised me by working perfectly with the d14! got the PC, switch, and ps5 all to work fine at 720p and 1080i on the BVM, 480i on the panasonic. I didn't have time to hook up the OSSC and IGS with that converter, I'll test that out this week some time.
Sync strike is still on the way, too!

Would love to know if that HDMI to Component Transcoder helped you with the PGM

yep, still working on testing everything here- lots going on!
got the oscilloscope yesterday . . . .but then got distracted- my miSTer pi showed up, so I had to get that working . . . and then I decided to hack my mini egret 2 and put batocera on there :). That took a little longer than expected. Could not get the bootloader script to detect the egret on windows, but worked fine from my mac with a few usb libraries from homebrew installed.
Should be getting back to the PGM tonight or tomorrow!

Direct output from the pgm, no sync regen.
This is my first experience with an oscilloscope, so not sure if I have the range and everything set correctly. . . . or what I should be looking for in terms of interpreting this output.
So, knowledgable arcade peoples of the internet- does this waveform look weird?

In my experience the PGM sync signal is pretty out of spec, and certain consumer CRT's wouldn't display an image with a supergun. The jrok sync cleaner didn't help. For the most part, you need to have a CRT that isn't picky with it.
100%, only thing I will add is that some PGMs seem better than others, never been able to work out why

yep, that other thread had some differing results with earlier vs later HAS superguns, too, but given that I'm using a BVM that's known to be a punk with syncing to difficult sources I'm really not going to be surprised if I can't get this to work- having the IGS on my flat panel displays for now is keeping me happy and there will be other CRTs in my future- there's a sony 20f1u for sale near me right now that i've got my eye on (price is crazy though, so it's been sitting for a few months) and a couple of mitsu diamondtron 2030's near by too- I might bring the IGS to see those and see if they get along or not.

been a long time!! Busy few months on my end but I was continuing to work on getting this to sync to the d14- tried a sync strike at the end and even that didn’t help.
I did find a solution though: bought a 20f1u! Syncs perfectly to everything the d14 refused to work with.

Looks like you found a solution. I had similar problems with mine in my Super Gun. Worked great with some displays, wobbly with others. I bought one of these things and it fixed my issues...

"Arcade Adjustment Board, Jamma Interface Converter, Adjustable Converting Connect To Any JAMMA Game for Adjust Image Position"

Would have been a very cool device to have in the days when I was running more original arcade boards.
