In The Hunt port coming to NeoGeo?

Moved R6 to R3 and verified the empty jumpers but still the issue.

It's specifically the sound FX and not the music. Like if I stand still it will just play the awesome Double Dragon music but when I punch or kick or fight enemies it's just clicking noise instead of the sound fx.

One of your V ROMs is having some reading issues, but we can avoid removing all the banks and instead look for the problem logically.
Go to the unibios in the JuckeBOX section and find a track that actually doesn't work and makes the sound you mentioned. ( just one )
We'll then replicate the problem on the emulator to identify the bank that's not working.
Please share track address on juckebox so I can help you.

How you split file ? i mean:
v1 should be splitted in V1 and V2
v2 in V3 and V4

I split V1 into V1 and V2 4mb each on 322.
I split V2 into V3 and V4 4mb and 2mb respectively on 322 and 160.

Looks like starting at 0x0720 everything is just clicking noise. Starting at 0x07D7 the music starts and plays fine.

Nice, tested on Mame

From 0x0720 to 0x07D6 are on V1,
0x07D7 / 0x07D8 are on V3
0x07DC / 0x07E0 are on V2
0x07DE / 0x07E2 are on V4

Check your V1 !
Also check the other addresses I wrote you so you can see if all other work.

This is CRC of my file splitted:

did you double M1 in to 128k?

I checked all the addresses you listed and for V2,3,4 everything plays. I think the one tune sounded like it was from Scarface lol. Can't wait to get to that point in the game!

Weird thing though is none of my checksum equal yours. I would expect if I split incorrectly the other V roms would also fail. Im using latest (as of 4 days ago) zip for MVS roms. Are you using different set?

I have done test again with beta3 file, checksum if not changing on vrom.
Anyway i think juckebox test on address is failing is something big is changing.
At this point all go on your V1, maybe you have to take it off the board and try to read back on your pc.
If you can read back eprom check track and solder point.

Thanks to @pierpa86 narrowing it down to V1, it was one bent pin on the chip that was the issue. Straightened and resoldered the chip and bingo!

What a great love letter to Double Dragon. I won't spoil it but some fun Easter eggs in the game. Well worth the donation.

Here's my working MVS boards if anyone wants to use as reference. V and C chips were split per @pierpa86 instructions and as long as you don't screw up your solder job , you'll be able to play this on OG hardware.

I'm really glad you found the problem!
I think it's important to show everyone a conversion on progbk2 that is compatible with 27c322 as v rom.
Thanks to share !

i played all the way through it with no issues. maybe eprom didn't burn correctly?
I checked it double times, its not C problem, i'm swap also C board and checked all roms CRC.... C board is fine
goin to change prog board maybe... its no make sense at moment but no other idea.

tested with new progboard and ovviusly its notchange.
I'm not using audio at moment to testing with progbk1, cant be a problem for a green screen.
So that really weird.

After really a lot of test i found the problem !
Yes its working fine with MV1C but no its not working fine with MVS 2 slot !
So the problem is software and now is clear to me.

for developers or tester, problem come from 3 level here.
check also the purple bar on the side, in previous levels there was no problem.
