Is the proman cps3 adapter the same adapter one would use on the other flash module multis too?

Yes. The Apocalypse Multis with the modules also use this programmer.

Do these work with both Custom SH2s and Standard SH2s? On the order page it says the SIMMs only work with Standards, but I'm seeing people here saying that they also work with Custom SH2s. Not sure which to believe.

SIMMs work with both. However with Custom SH2 you will only be able to play the original games released for the system.

With a Standard SH2 you can play PalMods (Palette Modifications) and hacks of SF3 like re:THIRD and 4th Strike.
