Konami Python - World Soccer Winning Eleven Arcade Game Style / Pro Evolution Soccer The Arcade Help

The sad way is that other games PS2 or Rom can"t be launch and using the Jamma conectors for controls unfortunately ,it could open an interesting setup right ?
other things don"t exist any update USB key that could be used for a sooner version of PES ( always under Pythons PS2 console off course )
It is a arcade games system. That is due to the copy protections. Defeat that and then you can run anything you want on it.

It does function properly when powered up from Jamma if it isn't faulty.
It doesn’t power via the jamma edge on mine, I can power it with the jvs power plugs and connect to pc monitor. Unfortunately it seems there is a fault with the jamma portion on my board ☹️ .

Then it's busted and require repairs. If you dismantle it you will notice it has a sub board that connects to the mainboard, That is the power supply for the jamma mode.

Hello, i have same issue , no image and even if using output vga connectors , does it mean we could connect a PS2 by the Jamma connectors easily and using all game on Cabinet ? 4 buttons only on PES right ?

The Python board I used to make pictures had a problem with the sub board. I had it recapped to solve most of the issues. It also had some problems with corrosion on the main board which I also solved.

While it was still powering on it had almost no video output.

Got one PES but with memory card error, is it fixable ?

Well, there is a CF card w/ 128mb and a PS 2 Memory Card, maybe the PS2 memory card works like a dongle I really don't know. I've cleaned everything that I could but still the same....

The PS2 memory card is not a normal memory card. It's a COH-10020 boot "dongle" with the Konami Python boot loader. It's identical on all Python1 boards.
The CF card that contains the actual game data. The error message is regarding the CF card that might be corrupt or damaged.

If the image on the arcade monitor looks dirty or weird, the board might need a recap. There are voltage regulators on the board which rely on the capacitors to function properly, noise on the video signal mean the power being supplied to the board is having issues.

The is a way to re-flash cf card like Naomi games?
I don't know but I don't think the CF cart has any kind of protection. Maybe the konami board only accepts that particular type of CF card though. Pray for it to not be physically damaged.
Make sure you read it whole before you try to rewrite.

I don't thing that is possible to clone it w/o copying the errors, maybe if some king of tool like windows chkdsk could check it before I try to clone it.

It's just that you keep whatever is left of the original data. That may help even in investigating how the CF failed and if it's still usable comparing with another dump.

Hi guys, recently got this game in an untested state, trying to make it work to add it to my collection but so far no success. Externally the case is heavily rusted, PS2 heatsink too, but PCBs are fine, had to disassemble it entirely to give it a good inspection, then clean and reassemble.

Upon power on, I was getting a blue screen complaining about "Dongle Card Does Not Exist or Is Not Right", but it was the ribbon cable.
So it begins boot, gets to a loading screen, then I get this:

What is I/O 1 supposed to be, the JVS port? I tried with a sega 837-13551-92 (the one from naomi universal), and a 838-13683-93 (the sega one with JAMMA port) and nothing changed.
Also tried changing the dip sw, tried JS option and error is the same. I'm powering the board from the square power connectors, not the JAMMA edge since it came with a red tape. Then also tried removing the round security dongle and nothing changed, probably it is not checked at this stage.

Anybody had this issue? thanks!

That "dongle card" is the SONY black memory card, that is where the Python1 reads the boot program from. The blue screen is the PS2 BIOS telling you it was not able to load the boot... You solved that already so no problem there.

There is a option on the Python1 to use JVS or JAMMA,, you set the JVS IO mode using one of the four dipswitches somewhere at the board. Once set to JVS it will require that you connect a JVS IO board to the JVS connector (it looks like a usb port but isn't a usb port so be careful to not plug USB things there or they will be damaged)
