Would be possible to simplify and have just the case with a semitsu joystick and spinner, plate, CPS1 wiring for Forgotten Worlds and supergun/neo geo cable? Maybe Forgotten Worlds art for the plate too, instead the Kraken one. Just thinking about a joystick for Forgotten Worlds and a Supergun only, because I'm not planning to be swapping plates, etc. and other people may do the same.ah sorry i didnt see that,

Hi @hursit - I'm very keen to place a pre-order, I'm looking to fabricate a replica Forgotten Worlds cab as my first ever project. On the second page of the thread, the seller advised that the EEPROM would have to be burned though because it is now the hacked version to play without spinners. Assuming the EEPROM change, would the spinners be compatible with this PCB?

The spinners won't work with that conversion board. There's no connector on the conversion board for the spinners to be plugged into. If you're replicating an OG machine with spinners you'll need either an original Forgotten Worlds board or the Capcom CPS1 multi and add on board for the spinners. Neither are cheap.
Only way to play Forgotten Worlds is with the Spinners as with the hacked version the game mechanics are messed up and therefore not worth playing IMO.

Pre-ordering two kraken spinners, with the Astro city control panel will this work in a new Astro city cab? Is anybody making control panels for a vewlix? Appreciate any help.
Say I wanted to install this in the joystick location in a 1L6B astro/blast control panel - Looking at a few panels I have, I don't think you could install them without an adapter. If the panel holes for the kraken are the same as the first spinner design - has anyone successfully installed the spinner and if so, how - maybe a universal adapter?
Reasoning for doing so - quick setup for spinner games on mister or using brizzo's spinner adapter.

We’re happy to share a new production update for the Kraken Spinner.
The project has now reached an exciting milestone and we wanted to share the latest progress with you.
Current production status:
• Injection-molded plastic gears are now completed
• Aluminum main body and other CNC components are finished
• Assembly of the first units has officially begun
We have also assembled the first fully working prototype unit, and we’re very pleased with how everything is coming together.
With the mechanical parts now finalized, the project has moved into the final assembly phase.
We will be sharing a photo of the working unit with this update so you can see the progress.
If everything continues according to plan, we expect to start shipping very soon.
