First confirm that your Capcom IO has the switch to set for 2P 6-Button mode rather than 4P mode.
if that's set correct then you have a problem with your kick harness.

No, its set to 2 player and the naomi recognises all the buttons on the jvs test but it still boots to atomiswave test mode plus if I check the buttons the atomiswave test mode recognises all of them it just wont boot the game

Hi there!! Does this converted roms works in a Naomi 1 Japan region with Netdimm ? Thanks

Anyone know why guilty gear isuka won't work on 4 player mode on 2x Noirs? Powerstone 2 works fine but GGI doesn't seem to wanna work.

Pardon the necro post, but I've been having some issues with atomiswave games on my naomi head to head setup.

I've got 2 nncs with vs boards. Cab 1 is the primary cab and has the naomi w/netboot-netdimm inside of it. Cab 2 is the secondary cab and is hooked up using the vs boards.

It seems like atomiswave and sammy studio games translate inputs differently than the base naomi games.

Examples:

For MVC2 and CVS2
: Both cabs have their control harnesses plugged into their respective p1 ports and the games are still able to distinguish which cab is P1 and which is P2.

For Guilty Gear Accent Core (sammy): Expects one cab to have the control harness plugged into it's p1 port and the other cab to have it's harness plugged into it's p2 port.

For KOF XI (atomiswave): For whatever reason refuses to recognize controls from the primary cab (cab 1) in the head to head setup regardless of player assignment.

For games like guilty gear I don't fully mind having to get into the control panel and swap stuff around after loading. It's just slightly annoying. I mainly included it as an example to compare against.

The big problem is with atomiswave games like KOF XI where it just straight up doesn't recognize inputs from Cab 1. It's really bizarre that it can recognize inputs from the secondary cab and not the primary. You would think that if it were to ignore inputs from any of the cabs it would be the secondary cab.

I spoke with a friend of mine who is a bit more familiar with the Naomi than I am and they think that it is possible that converted atomiswave games may just flat out not be able to recognize a jvs head to head setup.

Is this an issue anyone else has encountered and is there any known workaround?
