Hi , I have a HAS supergun. When I got it, I wasn't able to get a soild usb adaptor for controllers/sticks(everyone was out of stock), so I got the "BROOK PS4/PS3 to NEO•GEO Super Converter", but I have always wondered if these are even any good? Or if there's anything better that's available that doesn't involve me soldering or programming. I remeber there being a cool darksoft USB adaptor, but at the time he wasnt making them anymore??

Don't think Darksoft ever made a USB adapter.

However, the best one you can get, that the FGC also stands behind, is the UD-USB adapter which supports a variety of sticks and pads.

Keep an eye out on this link: https://paradisearcadeshop.com/products/undamned-db15-usb-decoder

They get restocked from time-to-time, but also not.

Oh yeah I feel like these are what I was looking for and they were sold out and it felt like they were never coming back at the time

If you are interested in doing a DIY build for a simple supergun only use stick PM me. No soldering or programming will be required. It may be a few days before I can properly get back to you, but I'll set you down the right path and can give you step by step instructions. It's not as near as complicated as you may think.

Naw I want a set up that has less restrictions / more options

Then you should learn how to solder lmao.

In all seriousness though, using a brook board and outputting via the terminal post into a DB15 pinout will let your stick work on essentially everything if options is what you are after.

My main one has two Brook fighting boards and two separate DB15 outputs with different button configurations. Also has a turbo circuit hooked up to a switch making button 3 turbo button 1 for shooting games (convenient for R-Type on PCE or 1941 on CPS1). I built this six years back and it can now be done with just one board that didn’t exist at the time. This setup didn’t require any soldering, but it was a ground up build.

Sounds like your best bet for your case is to just wait for that adapter to go on sale if you don’t feel like modding your current stick or building a new one.

Avoid the brook converters. These caused a lot of problems at one of my locals and needs a firmware update to fix controller compatibility issues.
