MiSTercade V2

I just set up my MiSTercade V2 and tested with both my MS8 and MS9: I'm super happy, no video artifact\problem at all! In comparison with my MVS board, video output\level looks identical. I'm so happy I'll buy a second kit as soon as available!

Great job and great customer service by @misteraddons !

Thanks for the positive feedback :)

Although you may be right, but this documented issue was wide spread enough for the creator to update the RGB voltage. Luckily I’m fortunate enough to have different chassis laying around.

This info was just for those who don’t want to calibrate the monitor over again just for the mister v2. All my other boards look great on this chassis, it’s just this specific board with the ringing and washed out colors. The rgb adjuster did exactly what it claimed to do, and that’s create a uniformed color contrast between different boards ,without having to rip out the monitor to calibrate.
There were 2 separate fixes for early MiSTercade V2 models: 1 for ringing on certain monitors and the other for brightness. I'm happy to tackle the mods for you if you want to send it my way. Contact me on my site if you'd like to do this :)

Can anyone confirm whether any of the switches on the MisterPI need to be set in order to work with Mistercadev2 please ? I've seen the table here regarding switches and honestly it just confuses me

I just want to play Arcade and Neo Geo games on a 15khz monitor.

I've copied the 15khz mister.ini over with direct_video=2 , but when I load a core I get "Direct Video 2 out of range" errors.

I just changed direct_video=2 yesterday in anticipation of a new main mister release. You can change it back to direct_video=1 for now.

Thanks I will get it changed back. How about the DIP switches on the Mister ? Do any of these need to be set if I'm just running the Mistercade connected to 15khz ? I'm not interested in Vs play or dual ram

Not for MiSTercade V2. If you want to dive deeper, check out the manual linked at the bottom of the product page on my site :)

Are there instructions or anything special needed to hook the latest mistercade v2 to a MisterPi?

I already did and my simple brain is confused with all the new options. I've set them all off and everything is working apart from the mapping for bringing up the Core Men.

I've got this file as part of update all config/inputs/input_16D0_1358_v3.map but am I supposed to choose a _main_mapping for bringing up the Menu like Mistercadev1 ?
