Hey gang,

I am looking for the Monkey Ball joystick for the Naomi game.

If you got one for sale, PM me please. Thanks for looking!

I have a brand new kit that has everything including the joystick if you want to PM me an offer. I don’t think I’ve seen just the stick before.

Someone on Facebook is working on making a 3D printed replacement which looks pretty cool!

The secret deals. I'm curious how much a kit would go for on ebay these days. Is there precedent?
Think we've been seeing the 275-325 mark on panel/stick combos lately. And for whatever weird reason they're almost all NOS it seems. Seen 4-5 pickups that were NOS the past few months between forums and FB, and now this one, and a dude on AO. Bizarre.

Guess we'd need to know what a kit consists of to really guess at what it's worth. Is a kit a full-on conversion kit for an NNC, art, Naomi, GD-ROM, disc, chip, and panel? Is a kit just the panel? Panel, art, and disc/chip? I have no idea.

I got a lot of my stuff from ex Sega arcade techs in the Bay Area. Sometimes you find goldmines in their storage spaces. :)

I’d personally like to trade these to fellow collectors for something interesting rather than sell on eBay. Or perhaps sell to someone in the community, I want it played not flipped!

Trust me. I love Monkey Ball. This shit is going in my sarcophagus.

I have seen on Facebook in a couple of groups that some people are working on making repros of these and that the prototypes are done. They are looking good so far.

It's just the banana itself. I don't understand the purpose. The banana is probably the most robust part of the thing. There are a lot of parts involved under the panel, including a little pcb.

Any sega analogue stick/panel will work fine for monkey ball, I use a sega baseball panel as I gave up hope if ever finding a real panel reasonably priced, zombie revenge and Virtua striker panels work also, just need to swap a wire over and calibrate in the menu. Wish so much I’d seen those yanton ones a few years back

Now that I have some cabs at my buddy's arcade, I wished I kept mine. Games with unique controls are the best. Nothing like 4 buddies on a warlords cocktail

Yeah, but all the other parts are still sold by Sanwa. The banana isn't.

Damn... I've been after one of these panels for over a year now and you haven't sent me a single link

I wonder how much the joystick parts would cost. I know Alberto makes the panel.

Sanwa also sells the whole flight stick. It's expensive though.

Personally if you're after one of these, look for a used stick on eBay and retrofit it with new parts. That's what I did and I now have a good as new stick.

The stick was used at least on Planet Harriers and Sega Strike Fighters. I'm sure there are others though.
