WTB Monkey Ball joystick

Looking to buy a working Monkey Ball joystick and all the parts needed to mount it to a control panel. (I can get a reproduction).

A full setup would work as well, in which case, I can arrange shipping.

Monkey Ball JVS Harness for Sega/Capcom IO x Astro/Blast City (includes Start Button Harness to Control Panel + Analog Stick Harness to JVS Board).

I bought this when I got the repro banana but didn't end up using it. Hit me on PM if you need it.

Still looking for the joystick. I know about the Gundam ones but haven’t been able to find them on YAJ. If anyone knows the part number or good keywords to use lmk. “ガンダム　アーケード” wasn’t successful.

I found these cheapo analog sticks on Aliexpress and figured I'd give em a shot. So far, they work great!

Wiring them up was pretty straightforward. Black is ground ref, yellow is V ref, white is channel 0, and red is channel 1. The channels and v/gnd can change depending on the orientation in the cabinet or what game you're playing.

Still looking for the joystick. I know about the Gundam ones but haven’t been able to find them on YAJ. If anyone knows the part number or good keywords to use lmk. “ガンダム　アーケード” wasn’t successful.

"ガンダム コントロールレバー" or "Gundam control lever" is how I found mine in the "Auction Toys & Games Games Arcade Games Box & Control Panel" section.

I’ve secured the Gundam stick and most of the parts that go with it. Thank you, @jamesv833 .

Just need a banana now.

My 3d printer broke recently. If anyone has the files and can print and mail me a repro banana I’ll pay you a fair price.

Thread 'Monkey Ball Panel Reproduction'

I always wanted a Monkey Ball Panel but they are quite expensive and hard to find.

A while ago I stumbled uppon these on YAJ:

the joystick itself is the same Sanwa base as the Monkey Ball stick. Only difference is a shorter and thicker shaft.

A friend was kind enought to lend me his Monkey Ball panel to do some measuring and checking.

So next up was designing a Banana in Fusion 360 for 3D printing

Split it into two halves and started printing

It took a couple of iterations to get to the end result (rightmost is the original banana)
