FS MP07-IONA-US JVS/USB I/O Board v3.11: Worldwide Sales & Troubleshooting Thread

For Sale
Ever since I picked up a couple IONAs from Tops, this has been my main device for anything JVS related nowadays.

After using it for several months, I'm at a point where I'd be interested in trying out other games that utilized dedicated housings or controls. Does anyone have gameplay footage or recommended configurations with running stuff like Virtual On, Crazy Taxi, or Monkey Ball?

Those are clones that don't respect the hard work of people making these type of Hardware for us to enjoy. Sure,
So, why did you delete MY question. It had nothing to do with the clone. I was asking about the genuine one. His comment suggested there were added functions missing from the clones, and I asked what the added functionality was.

What are the drawbacks? I bought a couple on Ebay since I couldn't get the official one, and they work fine. What other features am I missing out on?
Well, you are asking why is it better or not than the original one, it is related to the pirate clone. Nothing agains you or your question, but we would like not to use the forum to even give them more publicity.

Does anyone know if the MP07 works with the 8bitdo M30 controllers (https://shop.8bitdo.com/products/8b...cos-and-android-with-sega-genesis-mega-drive) I'm curious about the Switch version, specifically - there's an Xbox version, but it looks a lot worse visually because of the branding. The controller isn't one of the ones listed out as being compatible on toyoshim's site, but I get the sense that there are more compatible controllers than that list would indicate.

I'm also curious if it's possible to use the MP07 to map the test and service buttons to the controller or - for the Exa Arcadia - if I can map the "return to menu" function to a button.

Has anyone tried out the IONA on a Sega Chihiro or is the firmware not fully supported with this system?

I read through the website and checked out the Github in both the issues/resolved section to see if this was spoken about. I don’t think I see anything about it.

Maybe I'm a dummy, or maybe I'm just a bit too tired to be messing with this today, but I cannot seem to get just about anything to work quite right with this thing.

I've tried:

- M30 2.4GHz - doesn't work at all
- Xbox Series and Xbone controllers - don't work at all
- SFC USB pad I've had since 2000 - all buttons work but I don't have a start button
- 8bitdo N64 controller - works in full, but the choice of where the buttons are is awful

I can enter layout mode but no matter how many buttons I press it never finishes being in layout mode. Even if I just mash on buttons it doesn't seem to realize I've input all 12 and to be done. And of course as it should, when you leave layout mode it abandons all changes.

I bought a real one, from BEEP, because at the time they were the only people with one in stock, and am just now trying to mess with it. Any sort of advice would be most welcome.

In my TGM3 thread I wrote a step by step on what I did to initalize the V3 IONA from the firmware update to configuring the button layout and actually using it.

I’ve used the IONA on NAOMI and stock TTX with Xbox One/Series X and PS4 controllers, Hori sticks (N.Pro, RAP3 and 4), and the Hori Pad FPS during my meetups. They all worked out the box after fully updating and initializing everything.

Ah-ha. I will check out your guide and report back once that's done! Thank you!

Edit: on Monday apparently because that's how long it'll take to get the cable.

ps4 gamepad - works and has analogs buttons R2/L2 (important for racing games like crazy taxi)

Switch pro pad good too, but missing analogs buttons. For racing games u can use right analog for break/acceleration

Also i checked arcade sticks
Works great

6.) If all goes well**, then Device Manager should have installed the driver and the IONA will be detectable under the Universal Serial Bus devices category.

4 different computers, different USB ports on each, all come back with error 10.

I'll be honest, the one thing I did was uninstall and re-install the driver and hope that the Windows Device Manager installed it successfully. If none of the slots worked on re-installation, then I moved onto another computer until I figure out which slot works the best. There were some times where I installed it and everything looked great, but Error 10 still appeared.

The official site itself in the Firmware section it states:
Some users said retry will help if installation failed. As this firmware update mode is provided by the chip vendor, I have no other ideas to mitigate this problem.

Understood. I'll try the android method next I guess!? Thank you for trying to help me out!

I think I may have posted about it in this very thread, but I had to try multiple computers before the thing would get recognized for FW updates. It's a USB chipset issue of some kind, very annoying.
