You may want to check the GitHub for the project and try to update the firmware. The GitHub should also have a guide on how to hook it up, it's been a minute but it does require two USB cables IIRC, one for power, one for the I/O.

i followed the directions on the github and his video. when i hold the service and plug into my pc the 1st time i added the winusb driver but now it just disconnects and doesn't stay connected to flash. im going to try a laptop that doesn't show 57 other usb things connected to try and narrow it down.

Also, it is worth pointing out that the license appears to permit anyone to make and sell the boards, but the creator prefers that you buy from recommended sellers to support the project. Per the GitHub:

Today, the author find cloned boards were sold. It is permitted as long as you follow the LICENSE, and I don't want to ban such activities.But if sellers respect the original project, please consider to support the project via the GitHub Sponsors.

Is there any distributor or agent in China? I hope to buy the original version.
 
I'd advise opening a separate thread for these kind of questions as it's inappopriate in a for sale thread imo. Next to that, this is the original version being sold here.
 
I don't think we want to see discussions of cloned PCBs that don't respect the work from the creators and clone them and sell at a lower price.
 
Please no further discussion in any capacity regarding clone devices. Be decent and show some respect and restraint.

I have stock of the latest board revision loaded with the latest firmware for sale if anyone needs it. Hit me on the PM.
 
I think some explanation regarding how these are different than the other boards could clear up the things. How is this different than "clone" boards (although not sure term clone is correct here as both are based on a open source design). Are these (listed here) made by the original creator of this project? How does the creator get supported by buying these from recommended shops, does the original creator get a royalty from these sales? Things like that can clear up confusions for the potential buyers and encourage them to buy these from recommended shops.
 
The original product supports the creator and states clearly who made it and which product it is. I honestly think that the creator says it's OK becuase he can't fight chinese bootleggers, but in all cases I will buy and support from the creator or authorised products. This is made for us to enjoy, let's make sure the guy gets the credit and support. @Mitsurugi-w
