I went in blind on this repair, to work with just the chassis and no cab or tube was a guessing game, and I guessed wrong.
There were a few dead resistors and bad caps, but overall the board was in decent shape. The prior attempts to get the tube started had shown neck glow on the filaments but no picture.
The tube was taken to a guy with a rejuvenator and was tested to work well.
On power up, I have good B+ voltage (almost bang on 180V), and heaters are working. When probing the transistors for R,G,B on the neck, I have 10 to 12V only.
Maybe it's a common issue, or a dead resistor but wanted to chime in here in case it's more common, the owner is considering selling it now since its' been a headache.
