Cripes, think I'm going to need some more parts 8|

Cheers all. To make everything easier to manage I'm putting together a google form where you can add your requests and shipping info etc. They'll also be information there on shipping rates and fitting guides/info once completed. I should hopefully have this finished tomorrow night, I'll post a link once complete.

Will these work on MS8-29 and MS-2931? If so in for 2.

MS9 only confirmed at this point. I know MS8 definitely has a different yoke header setup from looking at this previously. I'll have to check for the MS-2931....

I've not looked at all of the MS8 manuals yet but looking at the MS8-29F manual the method for reversing the image is slightly different:

Instead of reversing the polarity of two wires like the MS9, the MS8 above uses a two pin header and a connector with three wires which is shuffled to the left or right. This wouldn't work with how I've wired the DPDTs for the MS9 version but I'll see if I can come up with something for it.

Thank you kindly, form has been filled 😀

I've now created a Google form to capture data/orders and with information on shipping rates etc. If you're interested or you've already expressed interest then please fill in the details in the link below:

[MS9 Yoke Flip Kit Information and Order Form]

Thanks! ^^
Trying to just select 1 Astro (Don't need an e2) and there is no option for "0". Is there a way to just select 1 kit for Astro?

So nice to see you building these again @FrancoB , I still got one of the early ones you built a while ago so I’m good.

But if you plan on building those 15/24khz relay switches again, I’d be down to buy a set.

That's a nice device! I filled the form too.
A stupid question: is there enough cable length to use it on a vertical screen too ? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes but since I'll use it only with old vertical games I want to be sure :)

Thanks all for filling the form in.

@opt2not & @Mitsurugi-w - 15kHz/24kHz are a possibility, will definitely be later down the road though. Got a ton of other stuff (including these) to get through first. They'll also require some futher development/improvements.

@A-M - Short answer, yes ^^ The MS9 chassis in the E2 is stationary and doesn't rotate with the tube so the kits I've done for those so far look to be the optimum length. I just need to send the last one (pictured above) to @Lazyace for him confirm. The chassis in the New/Astro City rotates with the tube and so the wires need to be long enough to work in both orientations. I'm working with my good buddy @ElQuijote7 to work out the optimum length for these and I'm soon sending a kit to him to test.

@Lazyace supplied the DPDT switches for his kits and so I need to source some for all the others. You can go really cheap on these but I've ordered some decent Bulgin DPDTs.

I should receive those this week and I'll no doubt need to tweek the cut outs in the housing to suit those. Once I have that done I can get a N/AC kit out to @ElQuijote7 for testing. In the mean time I should be able to get on with the E2 kits. I've got some packaging coming that might not be here until the middle of the month so I'm expecting to start to ship around then.

More updates to follow.................

I asked @Lazyace to take a couple of photos for me so I could put together an installation guide and he went 10 better and made a video. Thanks man!

I'll make an online .PDF guide with stills and link to it on the kit bag too.

N/AC proto is made and will be shipped of for testing shortly.....

The wires are a little longer than the E2 version and they exit out of the back rather than the top.

I'm including some adhesive backed Velcro which you can stick to the underside of the enclosure and your cab if you should wish, or you can just install it loose like in the video above. The braided wires will be cable tied but I'll include a few extra too in case you want to do any further cable management.

In the mean time I've been busy printing a load of enclosures. They take about three hours each but I've now got a good buffer to start wiring some of the kits. I'll be starting the E2 ones tomorrow or Wednesday and I'm hoping to have the first few E2 only orders out by the weekend, it's going to take some time to get through them all though so please be patient. I'll start on the N/AC ones once I've got feedback from the proto.

Looks brilliant :D
Does someone have a list of games which require a yoke swap ?
I know about the Namco ND-1 but Starforce will also benefit from this.
