I have a namco jamma to jvs but I can't get buttons 4, 5, 6 working on the pandora box 6s board?
As @radiantsvgun stated, you'll need another adapter.

Pandoras box uses what's called a "ChAMMA" pinout, so you'll need a Chamma to JAMMA adapter with a kick harness header if you want buttons 4 5 and 6 working.

The Namco JVS/Jamma convertor does 4 buttons, so only 5 and 6 shouldn’t be working ;)

I can confirm that this works really nicely in a Vewlix (tested with HnK in 31K) and a Windy II (tested with a few CPS1/2 titles thus far...)
Great work invzim

Mine is on its way, very exited about it.
Has anyone used a Jpac or a pi jamma setup with this. I was thinking of doing something in the future possibly?
I had thought about it but I'm waiting for JVS-PAC2 as it is more suitable for that application... Plug "usb" from JVS into it, plug into USB on the pc and you have sticks. Other parts just plug into the pc.
I just realized they make a vga pi hat and the raspberry pi can use the jammafier usb to power it I think. It also can output 240p out of the hat. Because the jammafier uses the JVS you don’t need a jvs pac just a j-pac. Audio can be pulled right from the pi to the audio amp. Should work pretty good I would think.
Yes, you can power the pi from the jammafier - I wouldn't use a long thin cable though :) You need to watch your step a bit with this setup and not get overly creative during trouble-shooting and bring-up. A UK customer caused some damage by connecting a 220V mains powered mame-pc with j-pac, to a 110V step-down powered cab/jammafier (everything worked OK with normal PCB's). The exact theory as to what the problem was a little above my pay grade if I'm being honest, but pretty sure it has to do with different grounds/UK PME or possibly unconnected earth on the step-down? I have not tested the Jammafier with a J-PAC, and the jvs-pac is the 'official' solution :)
Added a warning on the operations page after this:

Sell me a jvs-pac I can’t find one any where. Any place I can grab one?

Was using this to test the voltages on the Windy 2, this is a great little device. The LCD shows the current voltage, and has the name of the i/o and if its good or not. Currently the windy i/o shows up as unknown, but I was able to test controls with this.

Next version of the firmware will correctly identify the IO, it's so far just a nice-to-have (displaying WIndy II instead of unkonw iO), but I made the software this way in case a certain IO board requires code tweaks to work properly.

I see I forgot to pull the protective sticker off the OLED on this one :) , just pull the red tab.

@invzim Is there any way for my to buy your Tri-Sync Helper separetely?

I should have ordered it when I purchased the jammafier from you, but alas... I'm an idiot.

@invzim I was able to test out your jammafier and I noticed a few things.

The try sync helper makes the sanwa pfx go wonky, gives it a bent or rolling image.

As far as lag, I tested a few boards and I didn’t feel any lag, so if there is some, it’s minimal. I’ll go farther into this weekend with some shmups.

That should not happen. Got another monitor/pcb to test with? If the helper is bad, I'll send you a new one free of charge. @yuro sorry for lacking communications, been very busy lately - I'll hook you up.

I tested it with a few pcbs and its the same; I'll try it with the tosh PF. Sanwa PFX is "really" picky with 15k- so I doubt its any fault of the tri sync helper.

Didn't realize these had come out.. Saw on the site they're not currently up for pre-order, but I'll keep better tabs on this thread moving forward. Could use at least one if not two for the Vewlixes. Depends on if I keep the second one.

How did the testing go?
The PFX does not like the tri sync helper, at all. Used it on both toshiba pure flats and no problem. PFX is fickle with sync.

If there is lag, its minimal, at least for crts. I didn't notice it if it was present.

New version out today, just cosmetics really - but would be cool if a windy 2 owner, @wigsplitta ? 8) , could verify that the the IO board is identified correctly :)

And a compulsory plug, 2 units left in stock going out next week. I hope to have more stock in about a week, but could get be delayed as the JVS-PAC 2's are just around the corner.
