What's new

Name for JVS2JAMMA board

Someone a few pages back was having issues with coin not registering correctly on a CPS1 board. The newest firmware build should have resolved this.
Cheers, now you mention it I recall reading about that indeed.

I’ll update the FW and report back

@invzim have you had reports of coin inputs not working on Sega Type 1 IO?

Used the Jammafier last weekend in my NNC and it didn’t register coin drops, still need to update to the latest firmware I must admit, just wondering if this was an issue known?

Will test further when I get to it with some other Jamma boards to confirm
No reported issues with current firmware, updating is easy:

I woudln't, didn't check the price tbh.

They have never been cheap anyway, I think I have bought/sold mine for that price.

I don't think they suck personally if you have the right revision, it was a pretty good investment for my cab for almost a year it's just not as good as the jammafier.

Looks like there are 2 in stock.
I received mine a couple of weeks ago, and I installed it in my Tekken 5 NNC (also picked up the TriSync Helper). This things is fantastic :) I have been enjoying all my Jamma systems, and even a CPS3 multi with a SCSI2SD 5.1 is working flawlessly. Installing the F3 multi as I type this and will try it as well, but thanks so much @invzim for making this, I love it :)

Do I need just one JVS-PAC2 for 2 players? Or do I need to buy two for 2 players?

IIRC that I/O board is a clone of the River Service I/O, which supposedly has quite a bit of input lag.

I had no way to test lag officially... All I did was play with it, but man everything felt super sloppy/buttery.

I didn't own a CPS3 at that time, so I didn't play SF33rd (IMO Sean's Basketball Perry Bonus Round is the best human test).

I did have the CPS2 however, and played tons of games that I know very very well.
Trust me when I say things felt off, so much that I ditched the board for half of what I spent on acquiring it.

Hopefully you got something yesterday you will be more pleased with :)
