Sadly, my Nanao 25 inside my Jaleco Pony started flickering.

Any thoughts where to start first? Obviously I should confirm proper power is getting to the chassis, but any hunches as to what to look at next?

Video here:

I'd check the solder joints for the neck connector on the neck board.

That’s easy! I might just do a reflow there to make sure it’s all good. Thanks!

Any other ideas?

Brightness pot (and contrast, if there is one) pot on the chassis, check the solder joints for those and around the area. Spray some contact cleaner on the pots.

Sadly reflowing the multiple control boards and neck bird didn’t help. Neither did reflowing the neck board.

I see there’s a VR1 pot hidden behind other control boards - now that I see it there, is this to control the B+ ?

Anyone know what voltage it should be set to and where to measure it?

VR1 is for trapezoid adjustment.

B+ is on the other side of the chassis.

Thanks.

I think I’m at a point where I’m just going to shotgun recap it and see what happens. Now off to hunt down a list/kit :)
