naomi cf reader error 24 gdrom not found with net dimm

hello trying to get my cf reader to work with netdimm. got the jumpers set to gd rom mode dimm board test reports all good and on 3.17. powering via pc power supply. getting error 24 gdrom not found. zero key is installed. card reader is plugged in directly to the net dimm, custom bios set to usa and 31khz enable. what the heck am i doing wrong.

What firmware should you have if you have a regular Dimm:

• Ideally, the end-state firmware revision of your Dimm should be 4.02. 4.02 shall remove the media checks on your CF card allowing you to use known compatible CF media to CF boot your games.

What firmware should you have if you have a NetDimm:

• Firmware 3.17 for all intents and purposes shall allow you to Netboot your games. But might as well update to 4.02 to allow for the flexibility to CF boot anyway.

appently because i have netdimm all i need to do is update the firmware?

3.17 firmware doesn't supports CF cards, this feature was added in 4.01 update

yes, you should netboot "4.02" firmware update (hack of 4.01 with removed CF card vendor check/protection).
