Naomi Pi 'WiPi Netbooter' - compatible with Pi 3&4

Is there a known issue with the RPi 3B+ and the version 6 of WiPi? I've created the image using multiple different MicroSD cards, I've tried multiple different power supplies just for the hell of it. I always get 4 slow blinks followed by 7 slow blinks, which typically indicates a problem with the boot partition. The boot partition is there in the image. I can see it and mount the volume. I can't try version 5 because the link is dead in the first post of this thread. I have been able to create a normal Debian image and successfully boot that, so I know the RPi board itself is still good. Any ideas?

Have you checked if the image is actually good?
This is the CRC of the one i'm succesfully using:
WiPi6-1-4.img BBB5FBDD (CRC32)

If your SD card is not truly 32GB, you might have issues writing the boot image correctly to the SD card. You can try this one I made to work around that (hosted on a friend's server so no need to worry about Google Drive etc.)

Yes, I have the correct file according to crc32.

As for the size of the SD card not truly being 32GB, I might just pop by Microcenter tomorrow and grab a bigger MicroSD card then. I don't have time tonight to try out the image you sent. I'll report back tomorrow morning no matter which route I take.

Yeah the original image is based of a Sandisk Ultra 32GB SD card which has a nominal capacity of 31.8GB IIRC. Where as a lot of other cards out there are often closer to 31.2-31.6GB based on my experience. I wrote a whole thread about it here:

Oh, well, I was using a SanDisk Ultra. But either way, Microcenter opens in an hour and a half. I'll go grab a 64GB card when I'm out running errands.

Yeah, it just doesn't actually work with the 3B+. Not sure why. While I was at Microcenter, I picked up a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. And the 64 GB card. The image flashed to a 64GB card still didn't work on the 3B+. Same card on the 4 worked just fine. I'll do some more testing on my 3B+ just to make sure it isn't defective, but I'm starting to wonder how much testing is actually done on the 3B+ and how much of the documentation is "this should work in theory".

I had issues with a pi 3b, no Wi-Fi would work, no matter what i did, tried multiple cards and burns. So i got a new pi and popped the sd in and away it went. then I tried the genuine raspberry os and that had Wi-Fi, on the original 3b, so it wasn't a faulty Pi.

Even thought the new Pi works well with wipi and have been using for 6 months, when i click the button to change Wi-Fi mode in Wipi, it loads an error, so i think something is broken in the current wipi image. So i just don't click that button.

someone has forked the image on git hub to current 64bit os, so you could try that.

I confirm what you say the large 32Gb image does not detect the network, I solved it by creating the 8Gb one then with Partition Wizard I moved the EXT4 partition to the end of the SD memory, extended the FAT32 partition and finally added the roms. I have not checked but I think it is not necessary to do the image mix, the files are the same.
