FS Neo Geo MVS: ALL-in-1 Vortex Multicart - 2025

For Sale
Aug 15/2025: WOW! What a wild 3 months! So many people are interested in this cart! I finally managed to catch up with the long waitlist. I'm expecting a few more carts to arrive this week and it will take me about a week of soldering/programming/assembling to put these carts together. I will have 5 more carts ready to ship in 1 week.

If you're interested in one of these carts - DM me and I'll add you to the waitlist!

Appreciate your contribution to the forum. I'm in for one of these. I'll write a detailed review after logging ~24 hours of gameplay on it.

Just received my cart yesterday and been testing this morning with everything running pefectly. Currently on V3.3 but soon on the new provided bios.

The package was very well sealed and stuffed. The the cart itself looks kinda "legit". Nice finish and sticker. I also like the clean structured menu.

It was a pleasure doing business with you leonk. Everything went fast and smooth. You deliverd. Very happy:)

I just want to say I have one of the Vortex carts and it works perfectly! Bought around June
The menu is super neat and I haven’t tested all games but the ones I did it worked flawesly
Recommended!!

Cart works great. Put it in my 4 slot and it runs without issues. Thanks leonk

After a few weeks of just reading the boards from time to time I decided to register and just say thanks to Leonk for his good work, good communication, fast shipping and whatnot.

Thank you all for the kind words. I try to make these as quickly as possible. I know it could be frustrating to ask for something and then wait for months for it to be made available.

My wait time is down to a few weeks now. So if anyone is still interested, please DM me and I'll do my best to help you out. At this time I have a steady supply of donor carts, working directly with the suppliers.

Tariffs have also been a pain; especially with shipping to the USA. But all is good; I've been paying tariffs for all my American customers out of pocket.

Finally got around to installing the unibios that came with the cart (4.0). How do i go back to the game menu without power cycling. I read that I hold B during soft reset but it does nothing. On my old 161 in 1 cart (yellow one) I just held start for like 3 seconds during gameplay, but that doesn't seem to work either. Right now I have to power cycle. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using a MV1FS motherboard with a HAS supergun for reference.

Bring up the UniBIOS menu, go to soft reboot, but hold B when hitting the option.

I just wanted to add some fact based on my experience regarding running this cart on a CMVS with a (cheap) PSU.

My PSU indeed looks kinda cheap but what gave me hope: 5V 5A. No problem at all. So for all of you who are uncertain, it works at 5amps.

I still will switch to my 1-Slot setup (that needs a SCART cable fix) since my CVMS board is from 1999 (the ultra small one) and does not sport a through hole BIOS but a SMD one.

Just a quick queston to leonk: Is Samurai3 the bug fixed one? If not, don't worry I'm fine with that.

Greets

WOW. Good question; it's been 2 years now since I started making these carts so it's a bit hazy on which fixes have been applied from the top of my head. But I know that many of the fixes that were discussed here have been included (e.g. Nightmare in the Dark audio crackle).

If you got a specific link to the fix, I can confirm it was applied by looking at the code.

In case you didn't know It's about a hitbox bug. It's known since ages (apparently) that when you are very close to your opponent that sometimes the hard slash (and probaly some other moves/scenarios) is not registered, it simply goes through the opponent without causing any damage. An "ace player" named "LWK" in my link though has the opinion that it's not a problem and in actuality kind of intentional. But others say it's a clear bug.

I've just tested SS3 via your cart and tried it with one pixel distance (and more) to not grab and couldn't replicate that bug. Maybe I didn't test thoroughly enough and it's still there? Anyway, I'm happy with SS3 as it is and the cart as a whole:)

Here's the link if you wanna go through that. It's not to long of a thread: https://www.neo-geo.com/forums/index.php?threads/a-few-mvs-carts-fs.227709/page-2#post-3495900 But sadly no code stuff I could find.

Sorry if I offended someone by posting a link of this forum. I'm not registered there for reasons and I'll leave it at that.

Quick unrelated question: is the VORTEX logo that appears when you boot up the cart available somewhere maybe on Github? I'm considering adding it to the label I made for the cart, that's all :)
