That's because those are binary files that are Neo Geo format. They're not PC format files.

I don't know. I didn't make it. You can always try and take a picture of the TV and convert it to a bitmap or vectorize it? it's just blue on black using old IBM font.

Hi, I received my cartridge and it's fantastic, but I have a question about KOF99., some characters don't have their voices. I compared them to my original cartridge and this one does. I did some more research and it matches the romset kof99p (prototype) or kof99k (korean).
Does this cartridge have the KOF99 prototype or korean?

Some of the games are using different ROMs due to encryption. The 161-in-1 hardware, like many other solutions (e.g. MiSTer), require the ROMs loaded to be the decrypted ones. Here are all the games on the cart that are using the decrypted version:

When I compared the 2 ROM sets for KOF99 vs KOF99b (what is used), the MROM and VROM files are identical (MROM is the audio driver, VROM is the audio samples) The only difference is the PROM (game logic). KOF99 PROM is 2x bigger; I'm guessing that's the encryped code.
Because the audio section is identical, I would expect the audio to sound the same. I don't have the original KOF99 to compare to.

Received mine. Came with a new MVS shell, very well made holographic label and the game list is very neat and organized. Love it!

Given what you say about the hacked Unibios required to go back to the main menu, I expect you didn't extend your hack to get PICKnMIX to work, is that correct?
Is this something you or someone else is looking into? PICKnMIX is an amazing feature, essentially turning a 1 slot into an unrealistically large multi-slot cabinet.

PICKnMIX is not possible with ALL-in-1 carts because there's not enough left over space in the 27C1024 BIOS to hold all the game names. Razoola made it fit because he reduced the number of games from 161 to closer to 120. Even the customer who hacked PICKnMIX and shared it a while back on the forum did so by removing games from the list. The goal with the extra flash memory is to add games, not remove them.

Can I just say that Metal Slug 2 Turbo is the most underrated game on this cart. Without all the slowdown from the original, I think it just might be my favorite Metal Slug game even edging out the first one. I've always like 2 over X, but playing 2 felt damn near impossible with two people because of the slowdown. Problem solved with Turbo.

I use Pulstar as my long term test game (I run each cart I make for >2h to confirm stability before shipping it) I've had multiple complaints from the wife and kids that they can hear the song in their dreams at this point!

I don't know how much work it is, but even keeping PICKnMIX with the existing list would make the ALL-in-one a more strict "upgrade". The additional games can of course be played even if they are not part of PICKnMIX.
Or as an alterntive, you could pick the top 100 games from a "Top neo Geo Games" list of your choice and it would be fantastic!" (but I do expect this to bring some debate and controversy, which I don't know if you have the appetite for!)

Plus, you need to be a 68K ASM guru to code your own PickNMix. The current hack was done with the aid of the debugger under MAME! Not for the faint of heart. It's not worth the trouble, unless you want to make your own for yourself (like 1 of my customers did)
